We are just choosing where to spend our free wedding night.

We absolutely love the boardwalk and yacht/beach club area and have decided to stay here, but the thing is which hotel do we stay in??

Boardwalk seems to be very flowery rooms and like a grannies bedroom
(for uk brides - a cheap b&b in blackpool :rotfl: )

And we prefer the yacht club rooms to the beach club rooms. But we don't know if the yacht club have special rooms such as a honeymoon suite?

Has anyone stayed here for their wedding night? If so what was the room like?
Also if anyone has photos of boardwalk / beach club rooms which they think will show me that the rooms are not as I think, please please post them. I love this area and want to choose the best room available to us.

Hope I've not offended anyone :headache:

Hello! I L-O-V-E the BW & BC (over YC) but no worries...you didn't offend me :)

I don't have pics of the inside of the rooms (could have sworn i did!) but I do have this pic of the outside of a Garden Suite @ BW. You can use your free night towards one (if they're available). It has 2 levels and lots of room to get ready in! Wish i had a pic of the inside...you even get your own little yard area! :thumbsup2

We stayed on the concierge level at YC the night before our wedding and the night of. We weren't too fond of it; it was a bit too stuffy/"I'm here for an electronics convention"-y for us. But that's just us. :) Here's some pics...

Towel animals were cute though!

I have more but they're on my computer at home. HTH a bit though!

I stayed in the Yacht Club for our comp night we wanted to be sure of a great room so we actually paid for Concierge there the whole time and then just had the comp night of one rack rate taken off our bill at the end of our stay as I didn't want to check out and then checkin again.

Typically I have seen other brides be comped "water" view rooms of the lagoon at the Yacht Club.

I prefer the YC over the Beach Club (not including Beach Club Villas) because I find the Beach Club rooms a little smaller and the hotel seems to have more kids in than the YC, just my opinion. I really like the Beach Club Villa rooms for sure, we bought our DVC there and LOL I never considered the rooms to be "granny" like LOL not heard that term before Carrie.

Boardwalk rooms are lovely too and again I just stayed there for a wedding one time and got upgraded to a Water View room so the chances of getting godo rooms for one's wedding night is good but cannot be guaranteed.

Just for the record, I picked the Beach Club because I really like the "granny" decor, as the OP called it :rotfl:

...But then I've never stayed in a Blackpool B&B :lmao:

!

Yes my thoughts exactly. I mean why would you want to roll around on your wedding night surrounded by a duvet covered in boats :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, didn't mean to offend :)

Its just not our style. but thats what makes life interesting. If we were all the same it would be boring.

I think that we may actually stay at the contemporary. We thought that there may be somewhere of this up to date style near the boardwalk area that we could stay at as we really love this area. But Disney transport is good so we can go between the two fairly easy.

Thanks for the replies.

Another thing that might help (if you still wanna see pix) is checking out www.allears.net - they have photos of the rooms at all the resorts. In fact, I just popped over there to check out the BoardWalk Inn cuz I remembered it as being less granny-like than Beach Club. However, I was greatly mistaken - it is even MORE granny-like! :rotfl2:

I stayed at the garden suite the night before. I know that they love the flowers but the Garden Suites are to die for. They have beautiful walk ups and if you are there for flower and garden it is really pretty. There is a beautiful fountain that is nice for pics as well if you use it the night before!

I'd kill for that room! Love it! I used to stay there when I was little with my parents, they are like contemporary snobs! They'll die when they see the new rooms! Thanks for the pics, you're swell!

Our room at the Contemporary looked almost the same as the room above, however, we had a king size bed so there was more floor space (which was good since we had 1000 suitcases :rotfl2: )

These are pics of a tower room, MK view...
