To those that chose to have a meal after their wedding in a restuarant rather than a typical private reception were you happy with your decision or do you wish you had done it differently?

We'll have between 8-12 guests and I just can't decide if we'd be better to have dinner in a restaurants private room or an actual private reception. If we go with the restaurant option we'd have all our photos done before so but if we go witht he private reception we'd have a few before and the rest after with a 4 hour gap before our Wishes cruise

We had our reception meal at Citricos and don't regret the decision for a moment!! There were 14 of us all together and we knew we weren't going to have dancing etc so plumped for the restaurant option. Citricos bent over backwards to accommodate us and we were able to move our floral from the ceremony to decorate the table. We also put our favour boxes onto the table. I just felt that a private room with just a few of us might feel a little awkward. We had a really wonderful time at Citricos and IMHO the food there is amongst the best in WDW.
As for photos, we did a 'first look' and some photos before the ceremony and some after.

We're doing a meal @ Il Mulino @ the swan after in a private room off the main restaurant. We feel like it is the best of both worlds because we get a private room but are still at a restaurant so we don't need to bring in music, caterers, etc.
