Wedding Invitation Scam?

Oh, no I'm dead serious!!!

I'd checked every possible angle before posting here. My daughter, who works in a print shop, looked at the invitation and contents. She said all were printable and were most likely done at home. Nothing was of any talent, except the calligraphy, but that was mass printed, too from looking at carefully.

Hmm another idea. I think I'll check with my neighbors and see if they got similar envelopes. Our mailman is a good natured fellow, I'll ask him, too.

Seriously, I was joking about the stamp. I wouldn't go to a wedding unannounced, or especially to a stranger's event.

Sorry, I don't know your posting style so I wasn't sure if you were kidding.

I wouldn't automatically think its a scam, some people do print their own invitations for budget reasons.
It could be anyone, a distant relative, a relative of a neighbor, an old family friend's daughter or son, etc.
The nice thing is that you don't have to do anything except throw it in the garbage.

Luvmy3, your words beneath your id are nicely written and new to me. I love the write up! Not to worry about my posting style, the ADD in me makes to be interesting all on it's own. Sometimes even I don't know what I mean from my posts. Please do question away when in doubt. I do, it's the only way to know what is meant without facial expressions to read. Not that I'm good at that either, but I try. At times, trying to control this mind is like trying to control multiple birth 2 year olds.

As for comments about my posts.
The spelling of my name is uncommon, so to have it an error is unlikely. The same with the address, unique.
The olive branch, I have a short tree and it's branches have roots that I do know about the best that I could follow. Anyone further wouldn't know me due to my age, decrepit. I checked thoroughly all that I could before posting here.
I’ve put out the word to those I know to pass along of this mystery couple. No word yet from anyone, just strange.

I came to this forum hoping for avenues that I hadn't hit. I thought it strange when I did the online searches not to have found others with similar situations. I guess most that have this happen just quickly throw such mail into their recycling. Instead for me, I just got curious and wanted to find the source or similar people in such a weird event. If it is a postal fraud, it should be reported I would imagine.

I received a PDF wedding invitation via email. The invitation came from a Middle Eastern client of mine (im in USA and do very little business with him). He invited me to his wedding but the invitation read a wedding date which was over a month ago. He sent me a follow up email asking if Im going. When I told him the wedding date already passed I did not get a reply back. I think he just wanted money. He must be a scammer.
