Wedding Guest Discount

Hi everyone! My hubby to be and I recently decided to get married at WDW! The bad news is, after two weeks, I still can't get in touch with anyone at DFTW. Does anyone know if wedding guests get a hotel room discount because they are coming for the wedding? Also, do all of the hotels count toward the wedding night minimum?

Thanks for all your help. I've been getting so excited about the wedding reading the boards!

Hello! Hello! Congrats to you! I don't understand why you haven't been able to get in touch with anyone with Disney Weddings. Hmmm...I never had a problem in the beginning. No, wedding guests do not get a hotel room discount and I'm pretty sure all the resorts count toward the wedding night minimum. Good luck!

I hope someone will correct me if i am wrong but i am sure that your guests will get a 10% discount on their hotel rooms at Disney. Congratulations and enjoy planning your Disney Wedding

Intimate Wedding Guests DO NOT get a discount through Disney.

Custom Wedding guests do! The amount of discount depends on which hotel. Deluxe hotels get a 30% discount and i think the value resorts get a 10% discount.

All Disney hotels do count towards the requirements!

I was told by my SM that guests get a discount on their hotels for custom weddings, however Pop Century and Saratoga Springs are not included.

Basically it depends on whether you're planning an Intimate or a Custom wedding. Intimate guests do not get hotel discounts. Custom guests do get hotel discounts, but the discount amount varies at each hotel. Usually it's a larger percentage off at the deluxe resorts than at the moderates and values.

For custom weddings, the hotel nights count toward the room block you must guarantee. However, the hotel cost does not count toward your overall minimum expenditure with DFTW.

intimate weddings no hotel discount

custom weddings there is a hotel & park ticket discount.

we received a discount off the allstar movies, the yacht club (which are the hotels we selected) & park tickets for our guests with our custom march wedding. things are always changing though so ask/verify with your sales manager.

I really appreciate your responses and was happy to finally have some answers! As luck would have it, after my question was answered, I finally had a chance to speak with a Disney person and for a custom wedding, guests get 30% off deluxe hotels and 15% off moderates. I forgot to ask about the values! It's either 15% as the moderates or 10%.

I'll have to write down my questions for next time (or wait for my information packet...if I can find the patience!).

First, congratulations to all who are getting married! I am attending a custom wedding in 2007. Are the hotel discounts for any hotel or just hotels that are picked by the wedding couple? We want to make a family vacation out of the event and plan to stay a week but want to stay at AKL and POFQ. Thanks for any info.

The wedding couple usually pick 3 hotels, one value, one moderate and one deluxe. You then get a discount at one of those.
