Wedding gift from disney question.

I have a quick question, we got married 4 yrs ago in Disney,
We come from the UK and just booked the wedding package that they did which included
Cake
Flowers for bride/groom
Photos
Cake cutting ceremony


We upgraded to the pavilion package that allowed us to have the cake cutting on the terrace at the grand Floridian.and of course to be married in the wedding pavilion and I believe the limo

Now our wedding got screwed up and Disney did not actually book even though we had paid in full,

We did not get our 2 calls from the wedding co-ordinator
Not did we get the terrace we was out in a horrid tiny conference room that was in a separate building to the grand Floridian.
It was too late to try and add any extras we wanted apart from flowers for family and extra limo time.

On the day our wedding co-ordinator was constantly on the radio talking to others, tried to rush the photographer telling him there was not enough time for pictures we wanted ( luckily we got Randy who was having non of it)

My list goes on a bit more!
At the end of the cake cutting we was given a bag that had the mickey Minnie cake topper in but also a book that when you opened it had 2 watches in matching ones that had a back ground of the castle in gold and silver,
They are beautiful! We was never told in the package about a gift?

My question is do other packages get these?
We was wondering if they was given due to the screw up or if they normally came with the package we had?

Sweetie, I believe they normally come with the package you had (probably the Escape package, was it?). I believe all DFTW packages get these (not sure about Memories), but it is kept a bit hush hush by DFTW so that it is a surprise for the couple.

Oops. I didn't know it was a secret. The watches are listed on the website as part of the package.

No, no, I may be wrong. I don't think it is an actual secret really. If they are listed on the website, it can't be!!!

Well that's one good thing then lol they can't make me feel bad saying they tried to make it up to us with a gift lol!

We actually wanted a lot more add ons that we had seen on the disney wedding website,we had 15 people with us and tried everything to get hold of the wedding department, ( this was before I became a member of the dis)
They only contacted us a wk before we went over to the US and then told us there was very limited time for anything we wanted!

Thank god I'm doing my wedding all over again! Because a fairy tale sadly it was not, simply gutting when you have been to Disney world every yr for 3 wks since the age of 2! And now even take your own children.

I'm sure it came with the package you had. They now come with the Wishes package, according to the website, I believe.

Hi yes I've looked up the wedding packages, and done wedding reviews from around the time I got married and it seems they came in with the wedding package,
Were still arguing back & forth about everything that was wrong with our wedding ( yes it's took. 4 years) and want to make sure they don't come back with ......... " we'll we gave you the watches " lol. Anything else I would let slide but screwing up our wedding I will not!!

we had the same wedding package in June 2006. lucky ours came with out the problems. we also had the watches, cake topper and a wedding licence signed by cinders. Xx
