Have no idea what wedding favours are?? Are they gifts you buy for your guests or your Bridesmaids and Groomsmen.

I love the little glass shoes:thumbsup2

What is the mens thing Anna?

I love the glass slipper :)

Looks like the Mens one is a top hat

Love the glass slipper!

I like them both but as the Womens is so Disney is there something more Disney you can find for the Men rather than a top hat?

:)

Wedding favours are usually placed on each table setting as a little gift for each guest, sometimes they have sweets in them and somethimes something more expensive. Last wedding I went to there was a lucky dip lottery ticket in each.

We bought our parents a set of glass slippers just like those when we got married 21 years ago, i too have a set and they still look lovely in the cabinet now.Great idea:thumbsup2

I may be in the minority here, but I think all these wedding bits and pieces are a complete waste of money. A future together is being made and all that matters is the bride and groom not all the flipperies that go with a wedding these days. I wish you well with your planning, but so many people plan too much for the day and don't think about the long term future.

well lizzy your entitled to your opinion, but I dont see things like this as a waste, they add to the pleasure of the day,

Are there almonds in the top hat?

We were going to get the top hats - i think they are empty and you can fill them with whatever goodies you want!

I tried really hard to find something with a Disney theme for the men! It proved to be a lot more difficult than i thought!

Scott's sister used the top hats in black for her wedding and had love hearts in them.

Thanks Jodie:thumbsup2

Maybe get the top hats but stick tiny Mickey heads on to make them a bit more Disney

:yay:

Yep Kayley, got the top hats, and we are going to put a piece of mickey shaped confetti on the front of each to make them a bit more disney, didnt go with the slippers, went for a burgundy frilly thingy, netty thing lol, and we are going with disney pretzels as name places that you can get from the florist

Sounds lovely Anna. Enjoy planning your wedding. Its one of the happiest days of your life. Go with what you feel is right. Excellent suggestions here.

For our wedding we were traditional. Sugared almonds. Yuk.... My mum and dad spent hours making them all up. I am not sure if we thought of other gifts or if we chose them for tradition. My parents arranged our wedding venue. Dh and I had little choice, because they were paying for it. We paid for everything else except the wedding meal venue. I keep asking dh to divorce me so we can get married in WDW like we wanted to, but chose not to because other than my parents no one wanted to come. Instead we pleased everyone else. To this day dh and I regret not getting married in WDW. Even though we can re-new our vows I dont think it will be the same.

Enjoy your planning. Sorry the replay went off topic there. Just wanted to wish you luck and give some advice really.

I think your wedding favours sound lovely. I didn't have any simply because I have a real problem spending other peoples money (still do) and my parents paid for everything. We were already having the best country house in the area for our reception, and my dress cost a small firtune, so I never bothered with anything else.

I chose a traditional wedding and loved every minute but you really should do what YOU want to do as you will look back on the day for the rest of your life.

The one piece of advice I would pass on is that the day passes so quickly - get married early not late in the day - as you're only left with a few hours to celebrate.

We got married at 11.30 and had a wonderful wonderful day. Even getting married early didn't stop it flying by and we still didn't get to speak to everybody we would have like to but at least we had a DAY to remember and not a few hours.

Keep us posted with all your plans - it's fun planning it all.
