I'm considering having Disney themed favors for my guests since I want the reception to be lightly Disney themed [Castle cake topper etc] I was wondering what all your favors looked like and if you could post pics? Feel free to post pics of non-Disney ones too! I'd love the ideas! Thanks!:goodvibes

I was thinking about this today and have decided that I will have favours and named seating cards all rolled into one - I am going to buy everyone the traditional black mickey ears with their names on the back - cheesy i know but we're in disney so hey anything goes. Everyone will be able to find their seat by the names printed on the hats (which will be on the plates) and the photos taken will be great fun, plus everyone gets a keepsake

I love this idea and was actually thinking of doing the same thing. I decided against it though because I am not sure some of our guests would be that excited about the ears and we're already spending way too much money on meals and other activities for them. I may still buy some disney mints once we are there to give them at the dessert reception at the end of the night.

Depending on when your wedding is, I have also seen people do ornaments that could be quite nice for a Christmas wedding.

I've posted mine a few times before so I apologize if you've already seen it. My mom and I folded paper we bought at Michael's into a box and spiced them up a bit with ribbon and a Mickey punch. Our favors had a fish theme to them since our reception was at the Living Seas.

We gave the adults Nemo mints

Cute favors, and I love the boxes. I can't believe you made them out of paper!

Thanks :goodvibes. My friends thought we were nuts because everyone just assumed they were bought and not handmade. We decided to make them though because the color of the paper we found matched everything so perfectly. I posted directions on how to make them awhile back in my planning journal.

I think that the people who are coming to our wedding will all be happy to wear the ears (game for a laugh) :rotfl:

We also only have between 18 and 30 people who are going to be there so I figured that it wouldn't be costing that much. We will be buying their drinks and meals for the wedding day but that will be pretty much it.

Hopefully they will realise the fun side of it and wear the ears with pride

Ok, I haven't posted my favors before, but I found this pic:

darn, I shrunk it in photobucket, but didn't realize it would get this small...oh well...

we put silver stretchy cord at the corners so they wouldn't accidentally open, but it's not shown in this pic.

Don't have pics yet as our wedding is not until September 29th, but we will fill up cone bags with hot chocolate and mini marshmallows, and top it off with Mickey head sprinkles!

We are not getting married at WDW, but our families both know we're disney lovers, and I wanted to incorporate little Disney touches without making everybody go  .

I did all candy favors. Well I had the Mickey head bubbles and bookmarks I made.

Here are some pics.
The table cards were candy. Example: Beauty and the Beast table had roses

I also made favors for Ohana's and smore kits for our campfire. Not as many people came to these that I had planned on.

Laura- I just LOVE the Ohana favor! So cute and appropriate. I think the flowers on top really make it. If I were there, I would have definitely been in attendance if only for the favor!

Thank you. They were actually hair clips. Haha the guys even put them all in their hair.

These are all great ideas!!!

I am especially interested in seeing homemade favors, table decor, centerpieces etc..

I am on part-time work right now and would love to get crackin' with some wedding project planning!

Again ladies, everything looks great!

We did luggage tags which also served as place settings and indicated menu choice. They were handpainted with our wedding flowers on it

Mine were not Disney themed....but we can't all be perfect! :rotfl: :cutie: Mine were vintage looking wind-up tin toys...a different one for each person.

The fire engine one went to my husband's best man, who is a volunteer fireman.

Everyone's favors are so cute! :thumbsup2

Moonpie - I love your pics above as well as the ones in your signature. Do you having a planning journal or other thread somewhere with more pictures from your reception? I tried to do a search but the function is down apparently. Thanks!

Thank you! I did have a planning journal...but I can't find it. :confused3 I'm sorry...but my wedding seems like it was so long ago...and I never kept track of where the thread went. :guilty: But, I can PM you some pictures if you want. :)

Thank you so much! We are having a fall-themed reception at home, so it's nice to see all your creative details! :)
