Yes it was Mon Cheri! I did have it bustled, but it kept falling down. I don't think the button on the back was secure enough.

Wow there are some lovely dresses on here, I am from the UK and my dress cost a fortune, £1000 to be exact and is just as nice as the ones I have seen on here ... i am jealous! I thought i had a bargin!

My dress was slightly cheaper at £750 but still not as cheap as in America. At some of the bargain prices I have seen on the web site it would have been cheaper to fly over to buy one!!

At the moment according to www.postoffice.co.uk it would cost us £596 to buy a $1000 dress!

My dress (see above) was £750 which is $1300. It makes me cry to see how cheap they are in the US especially at Davids bridal

Actually, the one you saw for $99 is VERY uncommon! My daughter's dress (she got married in January) was $1300, and that's considered mid-range in the area where I live. So, the prices you paid are pretty much in line. HOWEVER, we didn't discover the joy of eBay shopping until after we'd already purchased Kate's gown. I've noticed some excellent deals on eBay and also with House of Brides and netbride, if you are trusting enough to do business over the internet. Another place you might want to try online is Pearl's Place, which is located close to our home. They are very reputable, and they discount off the major designers when you purchase online. Kate's dress, for instance, would have been about 1-1/2 times the price we paid if we had purchased it from the salon rather than from the SAME STORE over the internet! Crazy, huh?! ~Ev
