I'm having an Intimate Wedding at WDW in August 2005. What I'm wondering is do I have to plan a dinner through magical gatherings or can I make a PS normally? Any ideas? Also, where would you recommend to go. Everyone will be above the age of 15 so I don't want anything too childish. We don't want to spend more than 500-750 if possible. Do you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Jamie

First.. let me say Congratulations!!!

next.. i guess it would depend on where in Disney you were getting married.. but if you want to keep costs low... go to the MK as there is no liquor there.. so that will definetly keep costs down. I would have to say that Cinderella's Table would be a great place for dinner.. you have roughly $50/pp to spend including tip.. the most expensive item is the Beef Tenderlion at $26. this still allows a lot of wiggle room.. and to save even more $$ you can ask them to prepare a limited menu for your guests.. rather than presenting them w/the entire menu.

That would be my suggestions.. and just think.. if you time it right.. you could have the fireworks going off at the end of your meal!!!

again.. congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

We are getting married at the wedding pavilion at the GF. We hope to be able to find a nice meal outside of the parks otherwise we will have to buy a ticket for all of our guests. It definately sounds like a great place for my DF and I to go though.

Ok..

didnt realize that your guests would not have bought passes to go to the parks the weekend of your wedding.. sorry!

i am just concerned about the alcohol factor and the $50/pp w/food tax and tip.. and the best i could say that you would be sure to not go above that.. would be well.. a theme..

The Luau at the Poly is $49.01/pp and includes beer and wine (unlimited..) as well as soft drinks. There is also the Hoop De Doo Review.. but figured the Luau would be more romantic.

Another suggestion.. if you dont anticipate your guests drinking a lot would be The Whispering Canyon at the WL. That is a beautiful hotel.

Not sure if this helps!

You might want to speak with your coordinator at FTW - he or she should be able to help you decide on where to go for dinner - you might also want to speak to Group Dining for suggestions.

California Grill at the Contemporary is wonderful, as is Artists Pointe at Wilderness Lodge.

Good luck and have fun!

Your wedding coordinator can also help you plan a private dinner for just you and your guests....and since you control the menu, you can control the cost. There's a DISer on here who just got back from her FTW, KismetDreams, and she had a privately catered rehearsal dinner at Palio at the Swan. She seems to know everything there is to know about planning a wedding and large group stuff at Disney....maybe send her a PM....
