Hi all. I am not a disney bride so hope its ok that I post here. We are attending a disney wedding in a few weeks and there is a "dessert party" in Epcot the evening of the wedding (wedding is early in the day at GF).

I don't have any details on this, not sure where in Epcot, etc. But what I really want to know is how do we dress for this?????

Since its January in Disney I know weather can be all over the place so we are already packing a ton of clothes. I just don't know if we need a 2nd formal outfit, or if we should wear what we wore to the wedding (meaning we'd be in those clothes for 12+ hours) or if it is something more casual where the guys can wear khakis, etc.

Did any of you do this or are you planning this in your wedding package???

Hi!

We had one, and all of our guests changed out of their fancy clothes and went casual. Some of them came directly from other parks, or were already in Epcot. DH and I wore our fancy clothes so we'd look sharp in the pictures, but we were the odd ones out! :rotfl:

From what I've seen, if the party isn't directly after the ceremony or reception, guests usually change clothes so they can be comfortable outdoors at night.

Here are some pix for you... ours was on the lower patio next to Rose & Crown (a.k.a. UK Lochside):

wow, thanks for the speedy reply and the info!!!!

the wedding is at 10am, the reception immediately after and then the dessert party at 7pm so I imagine we'll have a few hours break before heading there so I was really hoping we could go a little more casual.

The bride told me she is wearing a white dress, but not her wedding gown to the dessert party.

Thanks again. Your pictures are great!!

Yes I think it is acceptable to change out of the wedding clothes! I think after wearing them for that long you will want to:rotfl: I think khakis and polos or capris and a nice shirt, sundress or pants and a shirt could be good options.
