This is a little early (I've got five months till my wedding) but I know I'm going to be nervous as all get out that morning.. do any of you have any tips or tricks to calming down... besides taking a valium?! :rolleyes1

if your REAL nervous....dont eat alot in the morning, just a little & not all at once, snack here & there

I brought down alka seltzer for my tummy & i worked wonders.

Try to do something distracting, like a crossword, crochet, etc.

you'll be fine...a little nerves will give you a rush of excitement, just dont hold your breath or lock your knees during the ceremony...oh & Dh broke his nervousness during the ceremony by noticing rev Jack Day pointed at us with his middle finger....DH thought it was just the funniest thing & started laughing....I was looking at him like"what" & it got me laughing cause he was laughing...& when the ceremony was over & he told me ...it was pretty funny..so look for some humor...even if your the only one who saw it or are the only one laughing:thumbsup2

Good luck

I know most people are going to think this is crazy, but I am going to wake up at 5 am on the morning of my wedding and go on a nice 30 min run :goodvibes Running is what relaxes me the most, and I know I'll feel A LOT better if I can fit a run in before the madness begins.

Just do what you normally do to calm down. Whether it's exercise, deep breathing, listening to calming music, getting a massage, drinking chamomile tea, etc. I am sure you'll be nervous anyway on the big day but something might help a little. Good luck :wizard:

Oh I am with you.. I get nervous easily along with getting :flower3: emabarrassed:sad2: . So this thread will help me out too... I need something that will relax me...

I'm sure that I will just have some alone time just to compose myself and get ready for the day.

My other half pointed out just the other day that when i get nervious i shake like a leaf, and because we are getting married at SBP he's a bit concerned that i might drop the ring and it go through the floor, i told him that he better take a snorkle and mask and be prepared to get wet.
we are not getting married until 5 in the afternoon, so i will have a big gin and tonic or pimms, just to sooth the nerve's:drinking1

There is nothing to be worried about. Just think that you are marrying the person that you love the most in this world and about how beautiful you are going to look on your wedding day. The day is all about you and everything will turn out perfect. That is what I did and the only time I got nervous that day was when all of my bridesmaids had walked out and I was left in the entrance of the church with only my father. Lets just say that the pictures show it all.

I just have a feeling DF will make a funny face or have a silly look to keep me calm. I agree with everyone else . . . find a distraction and concentrate.

Find a happy place. Find a happy place. Think of what you will write in your TR when your wedding is over. Hehehe. JK. :lmao:
