Wedding at Walmart

This was in my local paper yesterday. All I can think is why? I also keep thinking of that movie "Where the Heart Is". I really like this movie, but not in a million years would I ever want to get married at Walmart!

Well, at least it's in the "colorful garden center." And they do get lots of other perks (free food, a $1000 gift card, etc.)

I remember one night in highschool my mom and I were watching the news. The next thing we know there was a story about a couple getting married at Boston Market. We were stunned to find out it was my Uncle. Then we wondered why we weren't invited. Not that we would have went anyway.

No WAY!!!!! I just came home from shopping at that Kokomo WalMart and I would not describe the garden section as a "colorful garden center". It is a section of the parking lot blocked off with cement blocks and boards! They do have an indoor section but it is all shelves of garden misc, not colorful flowers.

Somebody is going to have to do a lot of cleaning and primping to make that place look anything more than a parking lot. Maybe they will clean out the indoor section for this....... I would certainly hope so!

Can you imagine the heat on the asphalt 7/7/07?

Well...There was a lady here that gave birth at our SuperWalmart a few years ago. Right on the floor near a register...she had stopped to buy film!!

Also I notice up in the mountains in GA SC and I think TN there are Ob clinicsin the Walmarts!! Talk about one stop shopping.


Why not get married too?? LOL!!

A few moths ago they had a wedding at Ikea! The lucky couple got married, food, and a large gfitcard. I would have done it!

Good for them.. Not everyone is anti-Walmart (they themselves stated that Walmart plays a large part in their home life) and financially speaking, it's a win-win for them..

Hate to say it, but it makes a lot more sense than those who spend astronomical amounts on their weddings - which often goes on credit cards; delays the purchase of their first home and/or first child; or causes their parents to take out a second mortgage on their own homes to pay for it..

Very smart couple.. Good for them for entering - and winning!!
