We are having our wedding April 21st '08. We have already book Randy Chapman. We were planning for a 2:30 ceremony then photos followed by a reception at the Napa room (part of the California Grill) on top of the contemporary resort. We were hoping to get Randy to get some pictures with us and the backdrop of MK and wishes fireworks.:woohoo:
Unfortunately:sad1: I've been told the move Wishes to 10 pm during that time of year. Which puts on in alittle of a pickle. We could move everything to later, a 5 pm ceremony time but we are unsure if we will have enough light to get all of our pics done.

Question 1:
Will we have enough time to make the 5 pm ceremony and do pictures after since we do not want to see each other before the ceremony?

Question 2:
Does anyone have any pictures they would want to share of even time frame which we are thinking to have our pictures?

Hi. I don't think that you can use an outside photographer to take pictures inside one of the parks. From what I was told it has to be a Disney Photographer.

I don't think the OP wants pictures in the park. I think they wanted pictures from the Napa room with the castle in the background. We had originally booked the Napa room, but recently changed to a room actually in the California Grill. Have you seen the rooms in person?

As for the times, I know others who have had an evening wedding & reception have set it up to do their pictures before the ceremony. Depending on your feelings of seeing each other beforehand, I know that's an option.

In April it usually gets dark around 7:00-8:00, right? So if you did a 5:00 ceremony, then allowed for the usual 30-45 minutes to do picture point and everything, your reception would be from 6:00-10:00 which would end your reception right as Wishes was happening. I know Randy is taking our pics at our dessert party in Epcot around the same time of night and I have seen some similar pics that looked great. He's a professional and I'm sure he could do it and they will look amazing!

Oh I'm sorry I missed the word backdrop lol.
