wed or sat ?

please help me decide- i am flying in to lax on wed 5/9 at noon. will i have enough time to do dl for a good amount of time or should i just wait to start my 3-day passes on thrus? i'm assuming sat am will be busy. also this is my dd, dh, and dbro first trip to disney, so they will be anxious to start i'm sure.we are flying in from l.i.,n.y. thanks!!!!!

You don't say how you're travelling (rental car, shuttle, etc.) But if you're not arriving at LAX until noon, it could take another 2 hours before you get to the park. Since Disneyland is only open until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, you'd only have about 6 hours there.

If Saturday would be a full day there for you (you only mention Sat. morning), then I say wait -- and get a bright and early start on Thursday.

my bro is picking us up at lax by car , he is arriving from san fran the pm before, we have to check out of the gch an sat at noon, and then we are heading north sometime sat early afternoon. so i figured wed pm might be less busy then sat am in the parks, am i correct? also on fri pm dl is open late so i know we will be there late as it is the only pm for fireworks for our stay.anysuggestions would be most helpful. thanks

I responded to you on when you posted this on the other board, but you know, it's not a huge cost to upgrade from 3 to 4 day tix. We had the same dilemma and found that as long as we upgraded BEFORE the end of day 3 (or was it day 2?) it was about $20 per person. (Can't remember exactly.) We upgraded when we first arrived.

One word of caution ... if you got those plastic 'souvenir tix', they'll be replaced w/ standard cardboard if you turn them in for an upgrade.

Hi there,
We just got back, arrived just before noon on the wednesday, took the disney express to our hotel checked in and headed to DL we got a lot more done at DL on that half day than we did on the saturday due to crowds ... we had a full day saturday and because of huge crowds (april 21st) we got very few rides in .... i say go for the wednesday and you will do and see more in the half day than a full saturday.

Yeah. A detail such as that changes everything. 6 hours on Wednesday afternoon would obviously be preferable to 4 hours on Saturday morning.

Definately do Wednesday rather than Saturday. Saturday's are always SOOO busy and not very enjoyable IMO. You're going to have a blast!
