My neighbor asked me for some sites to give to his cousin to help with their trip in December (no idea when in December). I know it all myself (DVC for 22 years), and he goes with us, so he doesn't need help LOL. But I am unsure of where to point someone else. Once upon I time, I would have said AllEars but I know that isn't as great as before. Anyone have any favorites?

If their first time at Disney, seems they could just look around here since the same topics are constantly discussed over and over. When we were last planning a trip back in 2019 after not being at Disney for many years, I found this site. Wanted to know how things like DME or FastPass worked since those didn't exist in our previous Disney trips. No amount of advance planning will make the parks any less crowded. Some people seem to make the planning for the trip a bigger deal then the actual trip itself.

Frankly, other than knowing how ADR's work or those paid Genie/LL things, I don't really think there is that much else to worry about. Disney parks are HUGE and if you have never been there before, you will have NO idea what rides/shows/restaurants you like best until you experience them for the first time.

Many of those blogs seem to ramble on for a long time and are more focused on that person trying to build a 'following'. There used to be 4 people on some travel blog that got mentioned a lot on here. Found it annoying to watch as they tended to jump around from one subject to the next and seemed to say things that others on here would indicate were not accurate. Older information can also be outdated as various things about how stuff works @ Disney changed over the years. Much better use of your time to read about topics on here instead of watching 30+ minutes of 'conversation' on some blog hoping they talk about what you need to know.

I watch several of the YouTubers, but none are actually helpful for planning. More for entertainment.

Reading here and Disney Tourist Blog are the best way to plan a trip.
