Website vs calling?

We've just planned at last minute-ish trip for the first week of December and I am trying to snag CRT res for my 3 yr old princess for our one day MK.

Can anyone tell me if it's best to keep trying the web reservations or call or both? Just want to make the most efficient use of time.

Website, because of quickness. Sometime when you call, & give dates, CMs ask for info that's not even necessary if reservations not available. However, you have better chances of getting Fantasmic! DP with phone CM.

Keep checking website & MDE App, but call on occasion too. Also, check the December cancel thread daily.

Thank you!

One upside to calling is that the CM checked the whole week at every dinner time slot for me vs. the tedious web process of having to pick a day amd a time, check, pick again, check....but the website is faster than putting up with the call system.

I do both but I think online is way better since you can search multiple times with multiple parameters and don't have to be on hold. I check the website constantly (for the openings I've found I seem to have better luck in the afternoon) and I call about once a day (I seem to be on hold a lot longer if I call in the evening though so call late morning or afternoon).

My results:

I have had great luck finding cancellations online including CRT although I see dinners a lot more than breakfast and lunch (actually dinners are all I've seen for our dates so far)

I have had some luck modifying existing ressies (ie adding a person) but that has been mixed as they could do it on one of my ressies but not the one I really needed.

Also, not sure if you know or not but I have read in these threads that people cannot reserve CRT thru the app so you need to call or reserve online on the actual website. So for CRT specifically (and probably anything that requires prepayment) I highly recommend searching on the website for this particular reservation and making sure you have your Disney account and guests all added as I have read a lot of people that have lost reservations trying to call or mess around with details in their accounts.

Best of luck!pixiedust:

I have been able to get everything I wanted by checking the reservation page. Once in a while at the beginning a few to several times a day the last few weeks. I have found that the best time to check are the weekends as you get closer to the trip.

Good thoughts, thx. I'll prob start checking a bit less frequently now and more so the closer it gets to Dec.

What is the telephone number that you call?

Can DVc member services make dining reservations?
