I know I read a post that linked a website where you could check for a particular stateroom's availability. Now I can't remember what is was. I tried searching the board but can't find it. I remember you chose a cruiseline, ship and date, then it showed you what was available. Anyone know the site?

Where do you look under at Cruise Brothers? I can't find anything that says available cabins. Thanks

Try Expedia or Travelocity - go thru the motions of booking a cruise & it will show you some of the available cabins but no site shows all available rooms that I know of.

As tstobb said, you need to go through the motions of booking a cruise. At cruisebrothers that means selecting the ship, the date, number of passengers and then select the room category. Once all of that is done, if there are cabins available, not just a category guarantee, it will show you some of the cabins that are open. It usually also gives you an opportunity to view deck plans as well. You can do all this without even telling them who you are, so there is no chance to get billed for anything.

Try www.yahoo.com under their travel section. That will show you both the deck layout and the available rooms on the same page. Again you are doing it like you were booking a trip.

The only problem I've had is that none of these sites show all the available cabins, nor can you search by cabin #. If you want a cabin in a particular area of the ship, but none are shown, that doesn't mean that they aren't available.

It's still fun though!

Do any of the TA's on the board know how these sites work? It seems to me that the computer tries to display the "best" 8 or so available cabins in a given class on a given deck. From what I can tell, it considers midship cabins as being better than fore or aft, as when I've looked at cruises which were well in the future, the cabins shown were usually directly at midship, in blocks on either side. I'd be curious to know if there's any rhyme or reason to this.

It would be great if there was a way to see all of the available cabins. When I've booked directly with DCL, I've asked about specific cabins and they'd tell me if that cabin was open or not.
