Website For Tracking Airline's On-Time Record (VacationExpress)??

There's a new carrier operating out of AVP, a small local airport, called VacationExpress. They're about $100 less per RT ticket than others flying here, but I think they're considered to be more of a charter service than a 'regular' commercial outfit. They only fly four days a week. Is there a website somewhere that provides unbiased info on flight reliability? I'll pay the difference to fly Delta if VacationExpress has a poor record.

(oddly enough, I can't understand out of the 80% on time flights of Delta...we managed to always be on the other 20%...LOL){does not do Delta anymore here...lol}

Thanks for the link. On our last trip 3 weeks ago we found Delta themselves to be very good, it was their shuttle flight by ComAir I believe they're called that was 1 hr. late getting off the ground on both legs.

I don't think the charter airlines are required to report the same stats to the goverment so I doubt the statistics are as reliable.

The other thing to remember is that if a charter cancels a flight due to weather and/or equipment problems all they owe you is a refund. Normally they will book you on THIER next flight. They have no rebooking arrangements with other airlines and are not required to rebook you on another airline.

Just an FYI, the airlines are very good at making their ontime numbers look good. I had two delayed flights yesterday coming from Hartford and Philly. If they push back from the gate on time that is how it is entered in the record books. We had two ground holds of an hour plus but it showed an ontime departure. We could see the gate from where we were sitting.
