Website for info on cheapest airplane fares

I am waiting to book a flight from Las Vegas to JFK in August (Fri or Sat). The flight price is staying at $218. I think this is a lot but maybe I am mistaken. I don't know if I should wait it out. Is there a website that gives info on what the average price is for flights and what a good price is?

I use www.skyscanner.com its a price comparison website, but not all airlines are on it. Southwest is not on it

I also use skyscanner, but I also look up the ultra low airlines spirit, frontier etc.
on your phone use the private web browser sometimes you get better rates with out cookies.
Spirit is cheaper at the counter if you are near an airport.
