Webkinz???

My DD has been wanting one of these things for months and hasn't been able to find one at the usual toy places Wal-Mart & Toys R Us. I just bought her one for her bunny basket on ebay.

What have been your experiences and what is the big deal?

Is this another Beannie Baby craze waiting to happen?

My DD has two and my DS has one. They both love them, but aren't asking for more, these are enough to keep them happy!

They usually easy to find at Hallmark Stores.

I don't think they should be compared to beanie babies. They are more than just a stuffed animal. They are a virtual pet that has to be fed, played with, and taken care of. The website is great, and often, I am arm wrestling the kids for MY turn.

The games are educational, also.

I agree for the most part..my kids don;t play any educational games, though. LOL
They are batting Zingo around.
We love Webkinz here--my son says" make me some money" when he goes opff to school. LOL
And I do! Love Tile Towers!

My DD has two and loves them. They come with a tag that you sign them up on line with an id#. You can buy them clothes, furniture for their house, all by gaining points after you play some games. You have to earn the points in order to buy things. It can get addicting, so I put a time limit on it. You also give them a name. By the way, try not to loose the id# or else you won't be able to get back into the house!

Your child will love it!!

My Beannie Baby comments were based on seeing them listed on ebay as "rare" "retired" "hard to find" etc and ranging from $10 - 250......I knew they were a different type of stuffed toy but seeing the way they were marketed reminded me of the Beannie Baby craze.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one fighting for their turn to play. I usually do after dd's go to sleep. I like the games alot.

If you go on the webkinz site, you can enter your zip code to find out who in your area sells them- lots of hospital gift shops, and other small gift shope, of course hallmark has them. You won't find them in standard toy stores, at least not yet. I haven't paid more than $10.00 for one.

We received our horse as a gift ( actually, it is my DD's) and it is so cool! We just started... I mean my DD just started......

I love to play the games and play two-player games with my kids. The "earning money/caring for pet" aspect is educational as well as fun. You have to earn money in order to buy all that cool stuff at the store.

I like Tile Towers, Zingoz Pop, and decorating my "house!"

Oh, and my kids like it too!!!

We love webkinz in our house. I think we are up to 10. I play before I go to work. My DD offered to give me the last one she got so that I could get my own account and leave hers alone.

DH is in the other room playing vitual air hockey with my Webkinz. I got him as a birthday gift and we've been fighting over him ever since.

I'm glad I'm not the only adult that likes playing tile tower!

So what I am hearing here is that I should make sure a Webkinz ends up in all the bunny baskets this year, especially mine
