webkinz what is going on?

Okay I'm getting fustrated. Is the site down? Is it just that busy?? My girls got them yesterday. I told them all about how they can go online and play with them yadda yadda yadda... but all we've managed to do is make their account. I can't do anything else... I log in it tells me .. Sorry We cant connect to webkinz world we are logging you out now come back another time yadda yadda yadd Also are they only open during certain hours?? I even tried to get on at 3am.. still nada!

I think it's just super busy becasue the kids are out of school, last week the site was fine- fast forward to Christmas day BAM! I know what you mean!!!

My daughter could not get in on Christmas day at all. I suspect that there was a flood of new Christmas presents being logged in that day. (My daughter got three - and none were from me or Santa! But -they were an easy and reasonably priced present from family members - so, she got the motherlode!)

But, that being said, she got in yesterday. She is home with my husband today - but I think they were playing with the new Moon sand first... have not heard of any webkinz thoughts.

Try the helpful hints for parents. You don't need to log in to get that. It is on the log in page. Maybe that can offer some clues.

Yeah, it was crazy yesterday, seems better today. I'm surprised about the 3 am thing, though. They may have been doing some work at that time of the day to help the site. I just told my daughter that EVERY child who asked for a Webkinz was trying to adopt this week.

My kids had a lot of trouble Christmas day and it was still very slow today and kept logging them off. I'm hoping things will go back to normal after the Christmas break!

It was certainly busy on Christmas, but yesterday, the problem seemed to be only with new accounts. My daughter has had an account for a while, and she had no problem logging on and playing yesterday, several times. My son just got his first webkins for Christmas, and though it did let us register, every time he tries to log on, he gets that same "sorry" message. I know it recognizes him, because we can see his pet's picture in the corner, before it logs us off after a couple seconds. We can see it's health or feeding level decreasing, and it is upsetting to the kids. (I remind them it's not real, but...)

Most of the troubleshooting suggestions imply our computer is the problem, but it's not because dd's account works fine.

Worst part is when I tried to send a report to them, the space for me to put my email address in is too small. It won't even go through without a full email address.

I understand they are having lots of traffic, but they really should have anticipted that, when so many kids get the pets for Christmas. Also, they promoted this special thing where if you log on on Christmas Day only, Santa leaves you special presents. DD could never get on that day, so she was really disappointed. Again, I tried to point out it's not actually real stuff, but the site makes such a production of it, they get disappointed when they feel they are missing out.

Oh well, preparation for real life, I guess.

DS10 just got on for a little while, he was able to cash in one of his codes from the trading cards but then got logged off for awhile.

They really should have anticipated this.

DS got a webkins for Christmas. We logged on fine but anytime we buy anything it logs us off. He was trying to buy something it took the money and logged him off. It took the "money" but he did not get whatever it was he was buying.

yes. at like 12 am-1 am ish, webkinz closes as in you cant log in because they are getting things ready for the next day. im sure when they open, maybe like 6?

webkinz worked fine for my cousin yesterday, he registered 4 webkinz and was on for maybe 2 hours. i got on today without a problem (ill admit, im a 15 year old webkinz addict!!!)

The site has now been down since last night. Looks like it's still down. DD got 4 new Webkinz and charms, outfits, trading cards and bookmarks to register, but has not been able to do them since Christmas. That's all she wanted for Christmas so most relative gave her somehting to do with Webkinz. I feel bad that she can't use them, so I keep trying the website. The company knows how many webkinz are being sold, so they should have prepared for this much better... They have people's money and right now all we have is a stuffed animal.

Yes, there is a yellow bar on top of the log in page saying they are temporarily unavailable in order to make improvements. They probably had to shut down to resolve all the problems people have sent in!

DS has one room we can't get into. Everything else is fine, but when we try to go to either pet in that room (one new, one old) or walk another pet into that room, it freezes at "loading furniture" every time. Sent in a customer support e-mail, but haven't heard back yet.

I do think they have bad customer service compared to other vendors, but I guess I kind of understand that a phone number is not easily available, as they would have a lot of little kids calling with a lot of, uh, interesting, questions.

Still, knowing how many they sold, you'd think they would have rented extra server space or something on Christmas.

It had the same problems over Easter when my girls got their first ones.

I can't speak of any other web site like Littlest Play Shop VIP or Bella Sara but Webkinz Customer Support is worse than AMAZON. We had an issue last year and it never ended up getting resolved, so we ended up with a just a stuffed animal.

with all the problems I had trying to just register the stupid things I forgot my username and password! Then I found the place to reset it.. but it told me I put in the wrong birthday After almost 2 days I remembered it not like its done us any good I was able to get on with one of the 2 yesterday and I played two games, then crash.. down again. I guess this is one way to limit the time the kids can play

I also got the barbie mp3 players that come with barbie world.. personally I think my girls are probably too young for that since they really aren't girly (they are playing with their geo trax right now and they love cars) I dont think they'll have fun on there.. anyone know what the barbie site is like?? is it all girly girly stuff??

My DD logged in to find all of her Webkinz standing in their main room, and ALL of there possesions had been sold ! Someone sold her stuff and added about 5 new rooms. She had $1.00 left in her account.
The site said that in order for that to happen that she would have to share her pass word w/ someone. But she got a new laptop and was playing on an unsecure wifi line, so I think that's where the problem started. I can't believe someone would take the time to go in and do that to a kid.
