Just wanted to relate an experience I had at the Disney Store a few days back. I received webbies from Blink earlier in the week. I printed out the webbie and took it to the Disney Store, and asked for Disney Dollars. I told the CM that I wanted to use this particular MasterCard number from the webbie, I had identification to prove I was the person named, and would she take care of it for me. She didn't bat an eye and ran the number through. Guess I'll be going to her from now on. I said I would be back in a week or so to pick up my Annual Pass for WDW. Her eyes got real big, and asked if I'd made enough on Reward Sites to pay for that. LOL. I said, "I wish!!"

In December 2000, I paid for my standard AP and Pleasure Island AP with my Webcertificate card. Every penny on it was from Rewards programs.

Mostly from the grand old days of FreeRide, Beenz and when Blink used to have 3000 points a day.

Glad to hear ypu had good luck with getting $DD with a webcert.

Ive done this 4 times now and never had any real problems
only once did I have a CM say she needed the plastic card so I just went to another TDS and the manger there put it through right away and was quite interested in the rewards sites!!
Had a real nice conversation with her!!!:D

although i am not new to rewards, i have never gotten a web certificate before! do i just redeem at mypoints and thats it? i don't have to register at webcertificate.com or anything, do i? do you guys all not get the plastic card and just take the paper certificate to the disney store? my disney store is very tough. i don't know if they would let me do that. when i had a beenz "credit card" a cm questioned me like i was a thief for about 15 minutes, then asked her manager and he said" just run it thru, it's a credit card! also, how do you add more points to the same web certificate? sorry for all these questions that have been posted before, i tried doing a search for the answers on this board, but nothing was coming up!!
thanks in advance for your help!
;)

I wanted to bump this up--I too, have tried doing a search on this topic and had trouble bringing up info--I know I've read threads on this before and can't remember? the info.
How do you purchase the web certificates (on mypoints?/wasn't it 3,500 points for each?) Is your "webbie" connected to one your own existing credit card nos...?etc.
It seems that posters haven't had trouble exchanging them for Disney Dollars and... I want to do this too!
Thanks in advance for everyone's help on this topic!

1.you redeem your mypoints pts for a webcert-then once they sed you the webbie you go to webcert.com and open an acct
2.your webbie is not connected to a card you already have it is a Mastercard with a unique number and expiration date just like any credit card you have except it is a debit type card you can only spend what you have on the card

hope that helped

I don't have much info., as I have never cashed out for a web certificate (I'm trying to build my points now). I do know that at My Points you can get a webcertificate worth $10 for 1500 points & a $25 webcertificate for 3500. I remember reading somewhere that if you want to get the hard plastic card it costs $10, so it wouldn't do you any good to cash out at 1500 if you need the actual plastic card.

Maybe someone with more experience can give you more specific info.

Happy Clicking!
