Web access in the monorail hotels

Sorry if this has been already asked, but we're going soon...

Last year we stayed at the CR and the desk in the room had a PC which we never used. This year, we're at the GF, and I guess they would have the same thing.

Is there any charge to use the PC for internet access to send mail via a Gmail or Yahoo mail account? Thanks.

Actually, the CR is the only monorail resort (and I think the only one, period) to have computers in the rooms. The GF will have a cord you can plug into your laptop, and you can use their internet service for $9.99 for a 24-hour period. Enjoy your stay at the GF - it's our favorite resort!

Yes that is correct and the cost to use the internet on those computers is 100% free.

OK thanks.. we've never stayed at the GF so I just assumed they would have had them, but I guess the CR is the only one. We stayed at the Poly the year previous and those rooms didn't have PC's either.

We were at the Poly last month and no computers in the room. There is a cord to use with your laptop to access the internet. We have a mobile broadband card so we didn't use it. I'm not sure if there's a charge for it.

According to this from wdwinfo.com the computers in the Contemporary rooms are a test program for this online concierge program where guests in any room which incudes the Tower or South Garden Wing can request things from housekeeping, requests bell service and etc. So using the internet is a bonus.

Update - Online Concierge Test Program - Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first to introduce Disney's "Online Concierge." In room computer access allows guests to check flights, contact valet/bell services, play video games, order room service and connect to Disney internet sites. Email updates will include weather info and overview of day's events
