I have been checking weather.com for the past week now, and it seems as though they cannot make up their minds. First they say thunderstorms for the week going into Easter, then they say it's going to be mostly sunny the entire time. Now, the entire time I will be in WDW, they are saying it's going to be isolated thunderstorms. Does anyone live in the area, or has been there, and could tell me what the weather is like, and perhaps what the local weather stations are predicting for the next few days? I don't trust this weather.com :confused3

florida weather this time of year is very crazy. it changes day to day since the us is now under influence from both a norther cold jet stream, and a more souther tropicle jet stream.

It all depends on how well those 2 jet streams play together. Since they are both converging over the mid united states, some days the cold air over powers the warm air, and vice versa.

no real way to get an accurate projection beyond 2 days.

do a search for an orlando weather almanac. you will see that in 2004, easter was actually quite cold. low 60's for highs most of the week.

but in 2003 it was in the 80's.

good luck...i will be there april 2-9

My father lives down there, I am calling him tomorrow and asking about the weather. I am going March 26-April3 I will let you know what he says.

Unfortunately, weather predictions in Florida at this time of year can change from hour to hour. Here in Tampa this morning there was predicted a 0% chance of rain, but when I just went out about an hour ago to walk the dog, to my surprise, it was raining. The good news is that when it does rain, most of the time (though there are exceptions), it is not long lasting. "Isolated thunderstorms" are usually very fast moving, affecting a particular area for less than an hour. Unless the chance of rain is predicted at 60% or more, you actually PROBABLY will not have any, or else just a very short (like 20 minutes) rainfall. A good website to check the weather is www.wfla.com. Go to Weather, and then type in that you want weather for Orlando. You can then choose an extended or an hourly forecast. Just remember not to trust it too far ahead, because there is a pretty high chance it will change!

True enough. It's pretty sad when they can't get it right 24 hours in advance--much less 7 to 10 days.

Remember-if they had ANY confidence at all in those 7 day forecasts, they would issue them just once every 7 days. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
BUt good luck to you and hope the weather is fine

www.wftv.com is a great local station. The next several days they are calling for rain in the afternoon. Rain can be widely scattered, so that it is raining on one side of the park but not the other. I would just wait and see what happens. You can still do the parks in the rain.
