Leaving in a week and worried about rainy forecast. What's the weather currently? When it shows rain for the day, is it all day or spotty?
Thx!

So far it's been spotty

I haven't been caught in much rain, and a few times I've come out of a ride and remarked, "I guess it just rained"

It appears they now stop all outdoor rides when a storm is near a park (even if it's sunny over the ride you want) so that tends to make indoor rides have even longer waits

We go just about every August and most of the time when it rains in FL is is just spotty showers. Just bring ponchos and go with the flow, not a whole lot else you can do. We will be down there in 15 days and are expecting a lot of rain as well, mostly in the afternoon and early evening. Best part is we find it cools off the parks some and if the showers are a bit longer (three years ago we had some that lasted about 2 hours) they tended to clear out the parks.

Usually spotty again bring ponchos and have fun. We went a few years ago it is was like a monsoon. It rained so hard for 1 1/2 we even had to buy sweat shirts cause did get very wet and then going in and out of ac rides. Then suddenly sun came out and everything dried and warmed up.

We have been going in Sept for the last few years and last year it rained EVERY day. Sometimes just a shower and one day it rained on and off almost all day. Just make sure you have ponchos. The ones from the dollar store are ok for a short shower but if the wind is blowing they don't work so good. We have our Disney ponchos from years ago and they are worth every penny. Don't forget about your feet we wear flip flops so we are ok. Sneakers and wet socks aren't so great to walk around in.

I have heard CM's say they close outdoor rides if there is lightning within 5 miles.

It's Florida in the summertime - it usually rains every afternoon. But normally the rains pass quickly. Bring ponchos and keep on going. The only exception - lightning. When they close the outdoor rides its because lightning is close by (lightning can strike even before the downpour arrives - be safe).
