I will be going to Cali from Aug 11th til the 15th. I live in Vegas, orginally from Cali but haven't lived there in like 12 years. My question, what will the weather be like? I know its most likely shorts weather since it is summer but how is the night time? Does it get cold at night? Should I bring pants and maybe a light sweater w/? We are staying at the Hyatt Orange County about 2 miles down Harbor so we are going to take the bus they have (for free) since the hotel charges nearly $20 a night to park..OWWW ...

Just went onto weatherchannel.com. Most of the time we are there it will be 84/63...Maybe we will all just wear khakis or something hrmmmm....

I was there last night and I didn't use my light jean jacket all day. In fact, I left it in the car. Its been pretty warm but you should bring a light jacket just in case. :) Shorts are good. You won't need pants. :)

Compared to the historical data it will be a little cooler than normal - but not much. We have done August a few times and have never even thought about a sweatshirt. We head out at 6:30AM for Magic Mornings in shorts and tee-shirts and return after midnight wearing the same thing. You might bring a sweatshirt just in case, but I doubt you will ever take it out of your suit case.

Today was a warm one. It's 7:30 p.m. and it's 83 right now. It's suppose to be cooling off just a couple of degrees in the next few days. Last night it was 73 at 10:00 p.m and probably ended up cooling down to about 66 at the lowest.

When I lived in Orange County....pretty much the only time I ever wore a sweatshirt in August was when I'd be indoors and the AC was turned on really high.

really really really really really humid though. It feels soooo uncomfortable sometimes. :\

i know i am packing sweatshirts for all of us. seeing as it is still 90 degrees at night where we are at, i am expecting 63 to feel pretty cool

hey LV...ya thats what i'm gonna end up doing..bringing a light jacket and pants putting it in a locker there...its going to be pretty cold for us lol

It's funny to me that you feel it's humid...we usually go to WDW in the summer and that humidity is killer! We just came back from California after 2 weeks there and I couldn't believe we didn't have 1 drop of rain...how does everything stay green? It does cool off quite a bit at night though...we needed long sleeves once the sun went down.

Humid? :goodvibes I'm a So Cal native (born and lived here all of my life) and I'm not use to humidity at all, but I've traveled many places and this is not at all humid weather. My co-worker also commented to me yesterday about how humid it was. :confused3 Well, I don't get it and I'm sure many of the people from humid areas would probably laugh at what we call humidity.

Exactly.

We were at Disneyland on your August dates last year. IT WAS HOT. I lived my whole life in SoCal until 5 years ago, so I'm used to the weather there. I wore capris and tank tops for the first four days, from 7:30am to Midnight. The last day we were there it was cooler in the morning but I still took my sweatshirt off by 10am. I know weather changes from year to year, but inland during August isn't generally chilly, in any sense of the word. Hope you have a great time!
