We are planning a trip for the half term holiday in May next year. We have only ever been at the 'cooler' times of the year. What's it like at the end of May?

We went May/June in 2010 for the first time too after three trips in February. For us we preferred the May weather. Its is hotter and more humid, you can get huge downpours late afternoon, but its nice to walk around in shorts and t shirts, most of the time the rain stops as quickly as it starts, only once at the end of our holiday did it rain all evening.
You just need to plan your holiday differently, parks am, pool/shopping or snooze afternoon then back to the parks in the evening. Some evenings we would swim and relax around the pool.
DH and i thought there was a better buzz around the parks that time of year(don't know why but thats how it felt), and also it might be the only hot sunny weather we get knowing our unreliable British weather.

the first time we ever went to Florida, many years ago now, we went from 24th May and loved the weather then.:thumbsup2 Yes it was hot and humid but nothing that we could not cope with. We also went the following year from 18th June and can honestly say that if it has been the first time we had gone we would never have gone back because the humidity was just dreadful and we hated it so much we just wanted to leave florida (yes it was that bad)!!!:scared1: So plan wisely as that humidty can be intense and you spend your whole time wishing that you were immersed in a pool or running from one AC place to another. Having said that half our problem was we stayed off resort the second time and without a car, so we basically just felt trapped in that heat and humidity..there is something tobe said when you can just pop out of the parks and back to your resort easily and quickly for a break from the humidity as its very draining...:)
