With a shiny new DSLR (not water resistant) in hand I was thinking about how to protect it against splashes and such - oh like during Splash Mountain rides.
My first thought was to simply buy an inexpensive lens hood (many varieties for less than $15), cut a hole in a big freezer bag and hot glue the bag to the lens hood.
I saw a more 'engineered' product online - the Vortex Rain Cape - which uses a drawstring arrangement around the lens/lens hood.
Any other suggestions?
