Weather on West Coast Mexico Cruises?

I’m wondering what the weather will be like on a cruise from San Diego to Mexico at the end of March. Generally I know the weather in the area but and wondering about the days and nights at sea and how much cooler they may be than at the ports.

For anyone who has been on a cruise like this before, is it significantly cooler on sea days or nights in this area at the end of March? Thank you!
