We want to take the Magic cruise in 2005 and I'm trying to find a month to go that want break the bank.

But, at the same time have beautiful weather for the 3 kids , ages 10,7,&5 , to swim.

I'm sure sept would be warm enough, but, really don't want to worry about hurricaines and rain , rain and more rain.

How is the weather in October, November and December.
Has anyone out there cruised during these months????

Please advise!
Thanks!!

Are the pools heated???

This will be our forth time going in december and the weather in the caribbean has always been great (although there has been some rain but you are going to be wet anyhow ;) ) I don't think you can find any time with no rain at all but the storms move fast. The only time it was chilly at CC was last year but it sure was warmer than home. In the caribbean I would say it averaged around 80 or so.

We cruised New Year's week this year (last year? 12-27-03 to 1-3-04).
It was plenty warm, 80's. We got sprinkles on Castaway Cay, and we were shocked that my 1 or 2 in the afternoon that so many people had gone back to the ship. We were snorkeling, so we were wet already, and it was a warm rain. We did the bike rental in the afternoon, still in our wet bathing suits, so the sprinkles were no big deal.

Speaking of weather.........can any of you cruise veterans tell me how hot it is when your cruising the 1st of August????? Are all the places inside air-conditioned??? Will we be dying of heat if we are dressed in pants and long sleeved shirts???? Is the air conditioner in the staterooms controlled buy them or us????:confused3

6griswolds .....August is one of the hottest months in the caribbean. That is when we go. We love the heat. Yes...all the ship has A/C. Are you planning on walking around the islands in long pants and shirts???  :earseek: :earseek: If so, I would say yes...you are going to be EXTREMELY HOT! If you are just talking about dinner ware....You will be fine.

They keep it as cool as possible...it can get a little warm in the lobby for the photos with the characters.

You control the A/C in your room. We always turn it the whole way down! We like to sleep with it cool. If your room is not cool enough....call them and they will make it cooler for you. :)

Hope this helps...Have a great cruise! And enjoy the great weather! :sunny:
