We are coming from Seattle and it appears to be 85-90 degrees next week what shall I bring t's and capris or tanks and shorts? With the park open from 8-12am how cool does it get after sun goes down? I don't wish to take in an extra bag to carry our stuff around all day. Are lockers really pricey? Thanks y'all!

Last time I used a locker it was like $7.

Depending on one's sensitivity to cool weather, you may want to have at least a sweater or shoulder wrap.

Typically from June-Aug we head out early morning in tees and shorts and are good that way until midnight. Not everyone is like us of course. We generally have a sweater of some kind on hand because we visit the beach as well and that is often needed during evenings. So we have it just in case. But we never use them at DLR in the summer.

What weather website are you looking on?
we will be there this coming THurs June 21 to the following June 28 and when I looked last night I saw much cooler temps like high 70s to low 80s? I need to prepare if it's the warmer temps you saw... and tell my group of 20 who's with me :)

I'm from Oregon and will be there in 3 days and will be there for 5. My experience there is it is a little chilly in the morning, and depending on how late you go down Splash Mountain, it can get a little chilly during sunset.
Here is what I have packed already.
2 casual shorts
1 basketball shorts
1 board shorts
1 jeans
1 soccer sweat pants
2 hoodies
1 light jacket
3 polos
3 t-shirts
2 pairs of shoes
1 pair flippy floppys

We will be getting a locker mostly because of the water rides. I anticipate being able to dry quickly in the sun, but it is nice to have a change of socks or shorts just in case.

:)

We leave a week from today and the temps right now say:

June 25--76 high/60 low
June 26--79 high/62 low
June 27--80 high/62 low

Normally I just wear shorts and a t-shirt all day. In the evenings when it gets down to the low 60's, I can a little chilly, but never bad enough to the point where I need to go back to the hotel. I will most likely just pack one or two pairs of jeans and a light jacket to be on the safe side, but I never use them.

We were there all last week, and the June Gloom was in full swing. If it gets to 80 (the warmest we got was 74, even on the 80 predicted day), it is for the briefest of moments and you can be sure, if the wind is from the west, it won't stay warm.

We didn't pack hoodies or sweatshirts or a jacket (it is June for crying out loud) and found ourselves having to buy something warmer for the mornings and evenings. Mornings are cool until the sun comes out (when we were there, between 10 AM and 1PM) and the later it comes out, the less warm it will be. And the moment it goes down, the temps drop, sharply. It can go from 75 to 65 in about 30 minutes. Waiting for World of Color the temps can change fast.

Just because it is June, don't think it can't get chilly. The weather out there is nutty, you need to be prepared for coolness and mildness.

When we left the "sky is falling" type of meterologists were claiming LA had 100 degrees in store this week. Looks like the sky is staying up there after all.

Coming from Oregon I don't mind the coolness of the summer evenings in Ca. We usually bring lightweight jackets or sweaters to wear first thing in the morning and for the evening. We usually wear capri pants or shorts and we are fine during the evening.

We each carry a small bag to stuff our sweaters, water and snacks into.

I think the lockers were $10 when we were there in March. I can't remember if that was for a large size one or not. :confused3

Accuweather

yeah nvfamily thats exactly what i was going to say too...Michelle you will be fine coming from WA...us CA, AZ, and NV people deal with a lot of heat so anything under 75 for us is downright bring out the scarves, mittens and overcoats weather:rotfl:...

I used to use accuweather too but found it wrong too many times ...the one I use now is the one they use for NASA and Ive been using it now for almost a year and since Ive been using it Ive found its the most accurate...in fact, when in the rare times it has rained, its gotten right down to the tee on the times it says its going to rain and been right....here's the link:

regardless of the weather, i always recommend people bring at least one pair of jeans or capris and a lightweight jacket of sorts..never know what could happen but for the most part im sure shorts and tanks will be fine for you...

We are coming from Seattle and it appears to be 85-90 degrees next week

Not sure where you are getting those temps, but here is the forecast from the site Lynn linked above:

Today: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 72.

Wednesday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 73.

Thursday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 75.

Friday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 76.

Saturday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 75.

Sunday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 75.

Monday: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 75.

I am sensing a trend...

We are bringing capris and sweatshirts to go with our shorts and t's for the mornings and evenings for sure!

Every time we go to CA it's cool, I am always amused by the threads worrying about the heat. Even when the temp is warm, the humidity is so low (compared to the south or midwest in the summer at least) that it is very comfortable.

Thanks for the weather tips. August of 2011 and 2010 we did WDW at 100:eek:degrees. Living in central Texas the 80's and a jacket are unheard of in August. I look forward to slightly cooler temps.:yay:

trust me when I say it can get hot over here..you are right about the humidity but i remember a couple years ago in april it was 90 something:headache:...you just never know...you are really lucky you have managed to miss heat...overall its really nice but the farther into summer it goes the warmer it gets for sure...

Pretty standard for us to wear shorts and tees during the day. If it's cool at night DW and I will wear a sweatshirt and shorts, the teenage kids just stick it out with the tee shirts usually. I sometimes stick it out or make due with a baseball jersey over a tee so I don't have to lug around the sweatshirt.

We just got back yesterday and we wore shirts and tshirts and took light hoodies with us for early mornings and late nights. It definitely got cool and particularly for shows like WOC and F!, it was nice to have a jacket!
