I have been obviously looking at all forecasts for my trip next week, but I was wondering if anyone from the Orlando area has an in depth forecast. Is it expected to rain all day, or is it just the daily rain at 3 PM? I just hope that I am able to go to the water parks.

Looks like lots of rain down there!! Here is what is listed on the weather channel website for Orlando....

Tue
Sep 09 Scattered T-Storms 89°/73° 30 %
Wed
Sep 10 T-Storms 84°/73° 60 %
Thu
Sep 11 Scattered T-Storms 88°/73° 50 %
Fri
Sep 12 Isolated T-Storms 88°/72° 30 %

Out of the 10 day forecast, 9 days say storms!!!

blah.. hope that goes away!! We arrive on the 30th of September

There is a lot of rain forecasted for today and the next several. There is a Tropical depression forming up by the panhandle and is going to go across FL west to east. This will mean a lot of rain.

Rain in Florida is scattered for the most part. By that I mean one area can be getting heavy downpour and another is bone dry.
Pack your rain gear just i case and come down to the Magic.

The best rain gear is a wet suit like golfers and fisherman wear. More comfotable and dryer then Pancjhos. Pack some gallon size zip lock bags for cell phones, cameras and the like.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the Weather Channel, considering it is still so far out, I know they have been wrong about our local weather many times (including today!) We will be down there 9/7-9/13, so we are keeping our fingers crossed!

Thanks for the weather website, Hannahsmom! I will be watching it closely........we are going to be there 9/7-9/13, too! This is a really special trip for us and I'm hoping we see ALOT of sun next week! It's rained so much up here in Ohio lately. We had 4 inches of it in 2 hours last month! Let's keep hoping for the Florida sunshine! Got my fingers crossed, too.........Only 3 days to go.......I'd better get packing!! ;)

It is called Tropical Depression Twelve and here is the National Hurricane Center website http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ It looks like you are going to miss it by a day or so, but you will still might suffer from the typical afternoon showers. Definitely, go to the water parks as soon as they open (10am), you might be asked to to leave for serious lighting storms (but not sure of that!), otherwise, if going to the parks prepare yourself for the humid weather and use your raingear by the mid afternoon showers. We waited for rain all day long today but instead we enjoyed ourself at Stormalong Bay (BC) until around supper time.
