We're going down the last few days of Feb/First week of March. What can we expect for weather and temps? Me and DH always wear shorts in summer (from Wisconsin). Our 5 year old is always freezing so I'll pack leggings for her but the 2 year old runs hot.

Prepare for ANYTHING.
Can be very chilly and damp in the mornings and evenings.
Can be hot and humid during the day.

Layers of clothing will be very handy, as you can add and shed layers
depending on the conditions.

I have visited WDW a couple of times in late February and for the most part the weather has been good but cool. Mid 70's is the norm. Swimming is a crap shoot so don't expect to spend too much time at the water parks. A sweatshirt and light coat is a must cause even a sunny day in the 80's will end up in the 50's in the evening.

Florida in the winter is a state of contrasts. Jacksonville is mostly cool while Miami is mostly warm and sunny. Orlando is in the middle and shares both climates...you just never know which one will show up each day.

Pack everything!

We were there Feb 26- March 10 this year and the weather was up and down. First few days we were freezing- long pants, jackets, blankets for the kids in strollers. The last few days, we had highs in the 80s- we were in shorts and were able to swim.

I agree - the weather is all over the place in February! Went the last week of February last year. Was raining when we arrived. Then the next day it was beautiful and warm! We ended up flip-flopping our planned park days because it ended up being in the low 80s, so we went to Typhoon Lagoon our first day! Wanted to take advantage of the great weather while it lasted. :) Was warm and beautiful for three days, then cooled off a little. Only rained a couple of times. Never needed the warm clothes, but you never know.

So be prepared for anything!

We arrived the last Thursday in Feb and it was in the high 60's and cloudy. Our grandsons were in their shorts but the rest of us had long pants on. The next day was much colder, cloudy and windy. We all had light jackets on. Saturday rained most of the day but our son still managed to take the boys swimming before the rain started. Again I think it was high 60's. Sunday dawned sunny and warm and I think it hit the 80's that day. Unfortunately it was our departure day.

I've been there twice in late February. One time it was hoodie weather the entire trip, which was fine by us. I think maybe a few afternoons the hoodie came off for a bit. The other time, it was FREEZING. I'm talking, cooooold. The CMs were saying how unusually cold it was for the time of year. I wore winter weather gear coming down from NYC then had lighter things packed, and I wound up wearing my big winter boots and gloves etc most evenings for the parades. Prepare for anything and be ready to layer up. Taking a backpack for various layers would be a really good idea.

I agree with the other posters. Be prepared for anything. We pack on the 10 day forecast, but always allow for an exceptionally warm day and a cold one as well based off of that forecast.

We have been twice at that exact time...2011 and 2013. It has varied the entire length of our stay from high 40's to mid 80's. We were prepared with hoodies and jeans and shorts and layered shirts. The wind did catch us off guard the one day -- it was very windy and I ended up getting wind burn just a bit. Must have been a fast moving front rolling through. The next day it was calm and sunny.

We went in the pool once each trip. I wouldn't recommend a waterpark day during that time, but to each their own -- especially those used to real winters. LOL.

I always reference the weather underground website...which I see that Robo has thoughtfully linked for you. I've been on there a few times today actually, preparing for our November trip.

Thanks. Sounds a little iffy. We aren't doing the a waterpark anyway, but it would be nice to swim at the resort. I know the pool is heated at Pop.

I find layering annoying, but I guess we'll have to do it. But I'll hope for the best!

Yep this! My late February early March trip had all of this. Have a great time!

I'm from Michigan so I appreciate temps in the 70's which is the norm for that time of year. My wife and I travel down to WDW every year at the end of February and we love the weather. You can surely remember the winters of the past two years and how that weather also impacted most of the country. Florida was no exception and the weather was strange to say the least. The week prior to my arrival it was cold and rainy as was the week following our vacation. We got luck. 75-82 every day and only one day with rain. I would pack for warm temps in the day but it can get cool at night. 169 days to go for our next vacation.
