Just curious, can anyone who is at Disney now or just returned tell me how the weather is or recently was? We are leaving on Tuesday from NY. It looks like we will be leaving sunny days for rain, atleast according to the weather on the internet. :( Thanks!!

We were at WDW from Aug2-9. It called for thunderstorms everyday. It did rain everyday but it does in Florida anyway. It only rained for about an hour each day and you could see the clouds rolling in so you could take cover. We didn't really get caught in it. Most of the time just put on a raincoat and keep moving. Remember things that run outside will close. We were at Epcot and it started raining and we had fastpasses for Test Track. They honored them later in the day after it stopped raining and it reopened. If things are inside it usually doesn't effect them.

My advice: just plan on it raining and prepare for it but don't let it ruin your trip!!

Have a great trip!! We did.

I just got back yesterday, and it rained a few days, but the storms in Florida are very different from what I am used to. Monday through Wednesday it didn't rain, but during the other days it would rain like crazyfor a while in the afternoon, and then it would be beautiful. It was very sporadic, and just when you were wondering when the storm would be over, it was! It did not effect our touring at all. Most things are doable in the rain, and definitely do not let it stop you from what you are planning!

Thanks for the weather updates. I know it usually rains everyday for atleast a little in Orlando, but last year we went the same time and I think it only rained for a short time one day while we were at the pool. Then a big storm came the night we left and we brought the rain home with us to NY. Ha! Well, thanks again for all the responses, glad the rain did not interfere with your plans.
:D

disgirl - rain in Florida can be VERY scattered. It can be pouring at EPCOT and have blue sky over MGM Studios (or the other way around). I have seen it rain on one side of the monorail and not on the other. I suggest you take a poncho with you and definitely keep an eye on the sky. Have a wonderful trip!

We just got back yesterday early morning. We were there August 10-16. Luckily it didn't rain that much when we were there. When it rains it usually happens in the afternoon and it doesn't last long. I guess the thunderstorm season is creeping away. If you're heading out in September, just get ready for those pesty love-bugs

Just got back 36 hours ago, and it was HOT HOT HOT. The humidity level was at 100% or close to it for most of our trip. We had two days with bad storms, one day with showers.

Generally normal August weather.
