Hi we are going to florida on the 30th of sept to 14th of Oct.
Has anyone been that time of the month and can you tell me what the weather is likely to be like.?Also will we need to have the villa pool heated?
Thanks. :earsboy:

As far as the pool heating is concerned it really is down to personal preference. Last time we went in late September / early October we did not have the pool heated. It was a wee bit cold getting in but once you were under it was wonderful - my kids quite happily played in it all day. At the end of our holiday we spent 3 nights at AKL and I found the heated pool there too hot - like stepping in to a bath.

Weather in Oct 2003 was good, although the first couple of days were rather humid, especially the day we went to AK. Our picture at MNSSHP showed us in shorts & t-shirts & as far as I remember we didn't need cardigans etc. & we stayed until midnight. Going again this year & have opted for no pool heating, but if we change our mind once there, all we need do is contact the management people. I think it will be easier to add it because we decide we need it rather than have it & try & get a refun because we decide we don't want it.

Hi, We have been sept, twice in Oct and once in Novemeber. Like everyone says still nice and warm, crowds low (fantastic). We were last there Oct 03 same dates as you, last day of Sept then to 13th Oct. Had a very cloudy first day at seaworld, but then good weather. We had a pool and it was heated and still a bit cold so unless you like really cold water I would recommend heating it. We are going again this Oct 22nd through Nov 7th. Can't wait. Definately our favourite time of year to go. Have fun :-)

Best thing about October is reduced humidity without major loss of temperature. Think of a really nice British summer day and you got similar to Orlando in October.

Watch out for cooler evenings though these are more prevalent in November thru January. ::MickeyMo

I am sure that a South facing pool would have better chance of being warm in late afternoon onwards, is that what you have in the villa?
