We have never visited in November before but are considering it for next year as an alternative to September.

Can anyone who has been during early November, tell me typically what the weather is like? We will defintely want to use the water parks so is it still warm enough for that? Is it usually warm enough to be in shorts or would we need to be in long trousers?

And I know the Christmas decorations go up sometime during the month - when?

Thanks in advance.

I've visited once in November in 2000 and as far as I can remember it was pleasant - chilly in the evenings for parades etc and we did have some rain.
But I've just had a glance at our pictures and the sun seems to be shining in most of them.

The Christmas decorations are normall up around 6/7/8th Novemeber if I remember that rightly.

There's bound to be someone on here who went last Nov.
Good luck planning

we were there the beginning of Nov last year
no rain
we went to the water parks not really warm enought to sunbath
but really nice to be walking around
evenings got a bit chilly so take a jumber , shorts were fine during the day
the christmas stuff was starting to go up and we were lucky enought to see the Xmas lights at MGM

We've been in November about 8 times. 2005 was the last time (this year will be the next time!) and the weather has always been great. Usually only one water park is open and that is normally Typhoon Lagoon. We have always sunbathed - when there is time. You would need a cardigan/jacket in the evenings but I find you usually do anyway because the air conditioning is so cold!! Orlando also gets the least amount of rain in the year in November and it is not at all humid. I went in September once and hated the humidity - everywhere looked foggy. The Christmas decorations go up early November and the Osborne Street of Lights at MGM is amazing! I would choose to go in November over any other month - no queues either!!!

Ive been 3 times in November and its a great time to go. The weather is usually still pretty hot, Ive always been to the waterparks then and usually managed to get burnt! Its quite quiet apart from Thanksgiving and the queues are minimal. :goodvibes

Novemner/December is a great time to go, the weather is less likely to be wet, the tempratures can be around 25-30oC during the day and yes, it gets down around the 15oC at night so feels cold.
the decorations all go up on or just after Thanksgiving, normally the third Thursday of November.

We went 19th Nov to Dec 3rd 2005 and going the same time this year because we feel its the best time to go. We went in June once and it was too hot and when walking around the parks it took alot out of us. November weather was just super, the day was warm (We had shorts and t-shirts on or light trousaurs) But the evenings get a bit chilly so a light jacket is needed. It rained for 2 hours on one day and for a full day on another, not bad for 2 weeks when the rest was pleasent. The 25th November 2005 was the best day as we went to discovery cove and it was really warm.

Early November is an excellent time to visit. Less chance of rain. I was still able to sunbathe, although I'm very fair and the heat in June/July/August is far too warm for me. Chilly in the evenings ~ If you are venturing out to a show or for dinner you will need a light jacket/cardigan.

We loved to go in November !!! We have been over Thanksgiving and really had a great time. We avoided MK that day - went to Typhoon Lagoon, had an ADr at 50 Prime Time Cafe (food wonderful) and then watched Fantasmic.

It was fantastic, we were really expecting it to be like a zoo that day but MGM was great, we did the Osbourne Lights at our leisure (on the main theme park strategy board) it had led me to believe you couldn't stop to look at lights as it was that packed !!!:scared1: Not the case at all for us.

Infact of our 4 holiday 2week holidays in November it has rained a total of 3 days on separate times. We love November !!!!

In fact we are going Feb next year and I am quite disappointed that it isn't Nov, as all the Christmas decorations are up and it is extra magical without the huge crowds.............just not possible with my eldest DD starting senior school , have to go at half term.........:sad2:

November can be a little chilly for the evening shows but we used to take fleeces and leave them in a locker until that evening, just to keep the chill off, still wore shorts tho :rotfl: Typical Brits !!!!!

Have fun in November !!! Love it , love it , love it !!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:
