Weather in mid August?

Looking at putting together a trip in mid August before school starts back.(want to experience Pixar fest) Never been to Anaheim or DL. Is it just crazy hot that time of year? Do you need to start early then retreat to the pool mid-day before returning to parks at night? Just trying to figure out what our days might look like. Thanks!

Avg high is 87 but it can be well into the 100's but at least it's dry. The good news is the hours are longer than some "off peak" times so if your OK with going back to your room for a brake mid day, you can make it up by staying later in the cooler evening.
We'll be there the last week of Aug. and can only hope for the best.

I have gone many times in early to mid-August and have had everything from 105+ days with perfect evenings to the 80s during they day and needing a jacket for the evenings. I like going then though just to be able to spend so much time at the parks in the evening after dark; it's my favorite time.
