I'm going to Disney the week of May 9th. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Has anybody been at that time? Is it hot enough to wear tank tops and shorts? And does it get cold in the evening?

BUMP! I want to know too. have looked on weather.com
but you know those weather guys.... :rolleyes1 I'd like
to hear from real people who have really been there at
that time of year!

I'm going on May 9th too! -- I'm HOPING for low to mid 80's and according to weather.com Orlando averages 82 degrees on May 9th, but you never know! It could be alot cooler or alot warmer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weather though, it's going to be what it is going to be and it might be totally different from the year before, week before or day before!

I obsessed about the weather on our December trip...I was worried it would be too cool for the kid's to swim...turned out it was HOT...One day it was 90 degrees! The week before it was cold and the week after people were complaining they couldn't even swim and needed gloves!

We go this time of the year, every year.

I love this time of the year. I always say I love it because you can change into your shorts in the airport rest rooms and not wear long pants again until getting back on the plane.

I bring tank tops for the day time and tee type shirts for the evenings. I wear a sweatshirt on the plane so if I need it (I have have needed it) I'll have one.

You'll love this time of the year.

Be prepared it rains in Florida every day - for about 5 minutes in the mid to late afternoons. We were having dinner one night and it poured, by the time we were done with dinner the streets were dry.

Gotta love Florida.

Last 2 times we went it was the first 2 weeks of May and both times in the 80's and the 90's during the day night I can't remember but I know I didn't wear pants as I brought none and was fine!

I have lived in Florida for over 30 years.
Early May is usually 80's to 90's.
Presently it is low 80's here.
If you live up north, you will be hot!

Debbie

May can be hot and the humidity is building. Expect mid to upper 80's. It won't be get that cool at night, but it will cool off. May starts rainy season down here in Florida so you can expect showers every now and again. Usually it will rain for about 30 minutes and then go away. Sometimes it can be raining at MK and not at Epcot. I've seen it rain at the clubhouse in my development and not at my house a few street away, it's wild!

We are planning our next trip for May 2006 and have been wondering what Flordia is like in May. So far we have picked our dates May 11-19 {we'll be there for Mother's Day :teeth: . Happy Mother's Day to me!! LOL!!!}

On our last trip I brought way to MANY clothes and don't want to do that this time. I will write down in my "Disney" book to expect anywhere from low 80's to low 90's.

We were there in May 2004 and loved it. So much we are hoping to go back May 2005-the weather is perfect, crowds are manageable and parks are still open atleast until 9. LOVE MAY! :earboy2:

Last year (late May/early June) it rained for at least 10 days straight. Most of the time, it rained just in the afternoon and then cleared off.
