Anyone been late may? What was the weather like for you?
We are used to the August humidity, so are hoping for a more pleasant time in May! ;)

Last year went on 25 May - it was lovely until 1st June - and then poured down solid for 4 days. It never stopped once!

Year before we went on 19th May and had 2 weeks of clear blue skies not a drop of rain but very humid and very hot (that's coming from someone who loves the sun)

This year we are going to try 10th May!

I would think on average late May will be very nice, it is just starting to warm up for the summer and I would say generally expect temps. to be in the low to mid 80s

Hi

We went mid-late May in 2004 the weather was HOT HOT HOT :sunny:

The average temp was 32c, but one day it reached 34 at mid day. The evenings were still hot and we had rain once for about 10 mins.

Excellent time to go. The lines were not that bad either. We are not sure whether we are going in Oct 2006 (we love the halloween celebrations) or return in May 2007 :confused3

I would have no probs with going at that time again.

We have been at the start of May for the last 2 years. The weather is perfect. Hot but not humid, no rain that I remember, maybe a little cloud here and there. It was great. Certainly warm enough for us to enjoy our villa pool and get brown. I do have a photo of me wearing a light sweatshirt in the evening while waiting for the fireworks at MK, not DH though so it can't have been very cool. I always take one or 2 long sleeve zip up tops to wear in the AC anyway. I am someone who always feels the cold.

It is a wonderful time to go from the point of view of weather and crowds. Just take a sweatshirt or 2 for the evenings and a blanket for Evie's pram for inside in AC and at night.

Happy planning!

Mandy :sunny:

Good post Verity.

We are travelling around the same time as you by the looks of it and was curious about the weather as only been once before in September.

Nice to see that your local aswell, but not so sure about you being a County fan :confused3 - Forest through and through.

Thanks again

Some one has to be! ;) Where are you?

Hi

I live in Jacksdale but work in Sutton (bit closer to your neck of the woods).

So as a Nottinghamshire lad I've (unfortuanatly) been born and raised as a Forest fan.

Good to see that at least you are supporting your local team though, and not glory hunting like most.

On our 1st visit we went in the last 2 weeks of May and the weather was lovely but the crowds started to build in the last 3 days. 2 years ago we went in the 1st 2 weeks of May and the weather was fantastic, very little rain, between 25-30oc, and no crowds anywhere.

We went in May last year the weather I think is the same as here you take a chance. We went in Nov 2000 the the tempreture reached the top eighties most days. :thumbsup2

I hope you enjoy your holiday and the lines are shorter at the Parks
