Are the pools open in March or is it just too cold in Florida? Is blizzard beach and Typhoon Lagoon closed then? Thanks!!

We go the second week in February every year and all the pools have been open. As for the water parks, only one is open in February (not sure which) as the other park undergoes refurbishing. I'm not sure about March, but February temperatures have ranged from 68 to 87 degrees the last two years while we where there. A few years before it was colder (50's). The nights get chilly. March should be warmer than February. Enjoy your trip.

We went mid_March in 2004 and the weather was fine for swimming and water parks. The day we went to the water park it was overcast and sprinked a couple of times which helped keep the crowds low, but was comfortably warm and didn't really rain until that night. We had a great time at the water park.

During our visit we had one rainy day and even then, it stopped by mid afternoon. Kept crowds low at MK. Otherwise the weather was great.

When we went both water parks were open, but one had just recently reopened.

Thanks to all who answered!! I am so relieved to find out that we can swim and that at least one beach will be opened. We've done blizzard beach so I hope it's Typhoon Lagoon!!

One more response for you...we went this year at the end of March. The weather was warm and the pool at the POFQ was open. Good thing, too! We don't get much humidity out here in CA so my DS6 could not get used to it. He was always irritable and complained that it was too hot. This actually worked out for us because we went during Spring Break and it was crowded in the afternoon. We would leave the parks in the afternoon and head back to the hotel for a swim and nap. Then, we would return to the parks in the evening. This helped us to avoid the crowds and enjoy our stay. Have a great time!

One word to describe the weather in March....gorgeous.

I spent Easter Sunday by the pool at POFQ (we stayed at POR but went to POFQ for the Easter activities and to swim) with a non-alcoholic Pina Colada (soooo good). It was quite hot and plenty comfortable in the pool. Enjoy March, our March vacation was wonderful! Some evenings did get cool though so I'd bring a pair of long pants and a long sleeved shirt or sweater just in case.
