Planning to go to Disney again. We went at the end of August - beg Sept last time and it was two hot.

We were thinking about going for 3 weeks from the middle of March. Anybody know what the weathers like then, rain etc ?

My friend got back from a 2 week holiday recently and it was rainy season and said it completely ruined the holiday. When are the rainy seasons in Orlando ? and most importantly is March one ? Also what temp is it normallt then ? and what's the humidity like ? It wasn't so much the heat in August but the humidity and being astmatic, was hell at times.

I have asked a lot of questions, sorry. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Rachel

hi racheal we go to disney the end of feb and the first part of march be ready for cold weather and warm bring shorts teeshirts turtleneck and jeans we have have 80 degrees and 40 so my answer is be ready for anything hope this helps

Thanks :D

Don't know if I fancy that when's the best time to go then for warm but not high humidity ? Get enough cold weather and rain here.Lol

Thanks for your help

IMHO the best times of year for weather are late Oct/November and April/May.

January and Feb can have the occassional cold snaps, although these rarely last for more than a few days. The longer you leave it into late March or April the less chance there is that you'll get the cooler weather. I don't usually plan for a cold snap ( by taking warmer clothes with me) and if one does it's pretty cheap to buy a sweatshirt (fleece in American English LOL :D ) in one of the outlet malls. As I know I'll get use out of any slightly warmer clothes I buy I'm not overly bothered if I have to buy some ( I usually would anyway) . Usually March is in the 80-90 range and I have been there when it's topped 100.

Hi Rachel

We went 4th - 18th March this year and it was soooo hot, well it was for us UKers :D

Personally I would never go at this time of year again, its was rammed with people because of spring break etc and there were loads of convensions going on so there were people from that too.

I would say go either in February or leave it a bit later than March.

Hope this helps.

Lisa

Thanks Vernon, thanks Lisa.

I don't know what to do now !

We were considering March cause it's cheaper and my DD has two weeks off that we can incluede in a three week stay. She only gets one week off in October and one week off in June. They get 7 longgggggggggggg weeks off in the summer to make up for it. When she was in junior school she used to get two weeks off in June.

What's it like at the end of July ?

Does anybody know of a site that gives info on thr Florida rainy season, hours of rain per day and humidity etc ? So I can take it from there.

I don't mind like it was when we went with rain in the eve and rain in the day, using lasting no more than an hour. But I'd hate for it to be raining most of the time like it was for my friend. I can get that staying at home lol.

Thanks again

Rachel

I presume you'd be going over Easter (i.e. the end of March) ? That is a pretty busy time, but as you have 3 weeks you should be able to get everything done that you want to, even if it requires a little patience at times. Quite how vexing each person finds a "busy" park is very variable. Even with people who are in the same park on the same day you'll get a wide range of opinions whether that park was acceptable or not. One things for certain, it's a hell of a lot better to be standing in a queue when the weather is reasonably warm and moderate humidity as opposed to sweating up in the paddock during summer. The weather in July is still going to be very hot and humid.

Yeah, that's right Vernon over Easter.

A few reasons really, it seems to be cheaper, two weeks school holiday can be included, it's sooner than August !

We went at the end of August - first week in Sept and very humid. People said it was going to be very crowded. They were right but I bought The Brits Guide and followed it almost religiously when there and appart from a couple of rides, didn't have to cue for long. Don't mind the sun and heat, it was just the air hummidity.

But we would rather put up with humiditity and crowds than ending up there in rainy season. There were nightly and daily storms when we were there, lasting no longer than an hour. But I found that lowered the humidity for a few hours and so didn't mind. Just don't want to spend a fortune and have three weeks of constant rain that's all.:D

we left on march 4 and we were there for two weeks and it was very cold but not rainy my sister went to disney over easter once she could not believe the crowds but no matter what we always have fun

Hello Rachel

You could try this link for some of your answers http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USFL0372?GO=GO which will give you current Orlando weather and then go to 'averages and records' - but it is only a guide.

I like March/April for weather but have been over enough Easter periods to know that the crowds would put me off now that I have a choice.

This year we were there for a week from 13th March and had pretty good weather, and the same was true last year when we were in Florida from 8th March for a week, but there are no guarantees.

As has been said, October/November are usually great times weather-wise, but one year I remember shivering in Epcot on 6th November and it not feeling at all 'Florida-like'.

If the humidity is a problem for your asthma, I would give the mid summer months a miss.
