What will the weather be like in March? What should I plan on bringing/wearing? Shorts and tanks, long pants and tees? Will I need a jacket?

Will it be warm enough to swim at the hotel pool and/or the beach?

We have always gone in March. The weather can be unpredictable. For the most part it's pretty nice during the day. Jeans and Tshirts. Although our first year it was pretty hot and we wore shorts. The last time we went though we had one day with rain....the rain is almost a blessing as everyone runs to their hotels so crowds are nice. Evenings can get pretty cool so we always have sweatshirts/hoodies for the nighttime. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Went last year March 20, it was beautiful! I wore shorts and short sleeves all day long. It did get cooler at night, I just threw on a sweatshirt but would have been more comfortable if I had also changed into jeans.

I am going this year around the same time so I am hoping for beautiful weather again :)

Not warm enough for the beach - until May or maybe June. Visiting the beach, yes. But enjoying the water, no way.

FWIW, see this for averages...

Like PP said, it can be unpredictable. You'll have a better idea when your trip gets closer.

Yes.

It might be warm enough to swim at the hotel (or it might not). It's never warm enough to swim at the beach, imo.

It also depends on what climate you're used to. If it's cold where you're coming from then it might feel warm to you at DLR, even if the locals are bundled up in jackets.

We were there in March of 2009, and I wore capri's and tanks most of the time. Later on in the day maybe a tee and hoodie -if needed. During the day we swam outside in the pool in the warm sun. Hoping it will be like that this March too!
