weather in March

I will be travelling to London at the end of the month. I was wondering what kind of jacket I should pack. Generally how warm and/or rainy is it?

The short answer is that the weather could do anything at the end of March!

My mother and DD both have birthdays at the end of the month and I know we've seen snow some years (not a lot, admittedly, but it's been cold enough) and other years it's been beautifully sunny with temperatures in the high 60s, even low 70s. Strong winds are also not uncommon at that time of year.

I'd say that the most likely weather for March would be temperatures in the 50s, and rain is just a way of life But that's just a guess ...

I agree with the above you should prepare for:-
RAIN
WINDS

There is still a chance of cold snaps snow etc, but we have had the warmest winter ever.
I have know some very hot days, early on once was Feb 14th a few years back, but unlikly to be very hot.

In London it just changes all the time, Sunny today, rain tommorrow is our forecast.
