Stayed offsite 1/94 on Honeymoon.

Loved AKL (although so hot) in July with 4 and 7 yr olds.

Visiting POR in January for 10th anniversary. Can anyone remind me what the average temp is in Jan so I can pack accordingly? Are pools at POR heated?

thanks:bride: :groom:

We have been in late January twice, '99 & '01. In '99 it was georgous - low 80's every day. In '01 we only used the pool once. I believe the pool at POR is heated.
Either way you will have a great time.

We went in Jan. of '02. We had great weather, 80's, swam. We had one day of rain out of 8 days there, and one day that was cool enough we needed our sweatshirts.

Jan. is our favorite time of the year to go.

We stayed in January 2001 and only the first day was in the 70's. The rest of the time I don't think it was ever about 60. Mornings were in the 40's:earseek: But I have to say it was our best trip ever!!!

you never know!! :) :) Last year we went the second week of January and it was FREEZING!!! But there are days in January that are perfect!! (high 70s or low 80s) you never know what you will get ihn Florida but you will stil have a great time no matter when you go!!

We've been several time in January and I agree that you never know. Dress in layers as even if it's chilly or even cold in the am it can warm up later in the day.

I believe that all WDW resort pools are heated.

We went in Jan 2003, last two weeks, and it was mostly 60s -70s, a few days 80s. Only rained once in two weeks, and we swam nearly every day. Mostly wore t-shirts and shorts, but a few mornings it was cooler so we started out in long sleeves and jeans.
It was great , and we hardly had to queue for anything!

January 2003 (MLK weekend) we wore jackets, hats, and gloves the entire weekend. January 2002 we wore shorts, t-shirts, capris, and jeans. The moral of the story is be prepared for anything. I would suggest checking weather. com before you leave.

january 18-25th 2003 and we froze our butts off!!!!! hats, gloves, winter jackets and ds wore his snowsuit!

record lows that week! empty parks though! ::yes::
