Hi

We went Jan 07 and the weather was a mixed bag. It can get quite cool in the evenings and our day in Animal Kingdom was quite cold, but then we had a day at MK and that was about 25c.

Still, it all beats the weather here

Hi and welcome to the Dis :welcome:

We went in Jan a few years ago and it really is a mixed bag. We had days in the early 20's and days at 12-13C. We didn't have any rain though, which was great, although it was very cloudy a few days.
Gnerally, the parks tend to close earlier (5pm-8pm) because a) it's dark earlier and b) it's cooler. Here's the park hours forJan this year:

Upside is that it's one of the least crowded times of the year (if you can ever say that of Disney  ) and there can be better hotel/ flight deals.
Personally we prefer to go in March/April or Nov/Dec, when it's a bit warmer.

Hope that helps :)

We travel last week of January/2nd of Feb each year, always a mixed bag of weather. First week this year was in coats during day, heating on in villa, deep frosts, then 2nd week sitting around pool mid to late 70's, even when cold the sky is a glorious blue, sun shining and palm trees around its fab:thumbsup2

I would echo the same, I went 3-18th Jan last year, and the weather was mixed. The parks are amazingly quiet - so the shorter hours dont matter, there is no humidity, and if you go early Jan you will see all the xmas decorations and shows :)

I loved it, it was a great time to go. We went to both water parks, and just moved our days round if it looked the temp was going to drop on that day :)

We went mid January last year and experienced a bit of everything.

First weekend was overcast but not cold. On the Monday when we went to Epcot for the fireworks, it was so cold that we had buy wooly hats and gloves :scared1: The coffee huts did a brisk trade that night also :)

After that, the temperatures went up to a really comfortable level and we could go about in T shirts (sweatshirt at night) and jeans.

Parks not too busy but we did notice large groups of South American visitors - when we thought about it, January would be their summer holiday time so that wasn't really anything unusual.
