Hiya Folks

Just posting on behalf of a friend. There planning on a trip, out of season that is and are wishing to go in February/March. Whats the weather like during this time of year, ive heard its cold...

Thanks :sunny:

We went this February and it was one of the coldest on record - but usually it is very pleasant. We are going again, hopefully in February 2007! :thumbsup2

We did Feb last year and it was cold at the beginning but warm enough for Eve to be in the pool (at the beach) during the day :thumbsup2

Evenings could be pretty freezing............
Pretty much a UK summer I'd say, in general - the US visitors were few and far between in the pools ;)

We eventually left around the 18th Feb and it was about 80 degrees :thumbsup2

Weather in February and March is unpredictable.

We went last March and had a mixture of nice sunny days, days where it rained all day, and days where it was by Florida standards fairly cool -especially in the mornings.

I checked the weather for a couple of weeks leading up to our holidays and most of the time is was struggling to reach 70 degrees, maybe we were just unlucky.

I have been in March twice and the weather was great, like an English summers day, hot but not humid like Florida summers, there was a bit of rain but not too much.

We went at the beginning of Feb this year and we had frost one day no joke, it was the coldest they had had it since the 1920's, it didnt spoil anything though, just be wary and take a fleece.

We were there end of February of this year, and had 5days of 75-80, and 2 cooler days. I think you have to be prepared for all eventualities at thattime of year though!

Been end of Feb to March for last 2 years and weather good both times. This year was warmer with temps in upper 80's many days. It did cool down considerably though some evenings. Last year was slightly cooler with 2 days of rain, but we were in shorts and tees almost every day.

Thanks for the great responses! What were the crowds like at the parks, how long did you usually have to wait?

March is getting into Spring Break and crowds are horrendous for that. Jan / Feb should be much calmer.

We didn't think the crowds were bad at all, apart from MK of course, but Tuesday morning was fab there!!! We missed President's Day weekend which is busy, and crowds generally increased the further into March as Spring Break crowds started arriving. There were some longish waits for rides like Soaring, but we walked straight on many.

As is often said - get there early!

We've been in Jan / Feb = few queues :thumbsup2

End of March / April, over Spring Break and Easter, quite nasty......

We're lucky enough to be able to get a GAC, for DH, which acts as a 'Fast Pass' when the passes have all gone.
Given that we never get to a park until around 2pm, and have left by 5pm, we've had few problems but, as an example, the queue for Rock 'n' Roll Roller coaster was 90 mins early April and the fast pass was giving times for 3 hours + in advance!

:sunny:

Is sounds quite a good time to go, when does spring break start?

Anything under 20 minutes a ride would be ace really.

Different states have different dates for Spring Break, from what I can gather, so most of March, up until Easter, this year was quite busy :sunny:

We were there last year and they started brigning the Spring Break merchandise (e.g. special park-specific refillable mugs, t-shirts) out about the mifddle of our second week, but it really only got busy from Good Friday onwards. We went to Chef Mickeys for Easter Sunday Brunch and that was horrendous!

The rest of the time was fine - get to places early and do other stuff (like shopping!) later on, then go back for EMH.
