Weather in Boston?

Who's in the Boston area? I can see temps at the weather sites, but that doesn't really help me. Is it winter coat, wool coat or leather coats for the next 3 days? I'd love to just bring my cordoroy coat - my main coat down here - but don't want to be cold either!

The few times it's been in the 40's in the day and down to the 20's at night in Louisiana this year, I've just tossed on a cashmere sweater and been fine, but I know we'll be walking out in the weather, so. . .

Leather jacket maybe? I'm thinking I'll leave the good winter coat at home. . .but it will rain Friday and Saturday and my good winter coat is v. light and waterproof. . .

You're lucky, it's much warmer than usual this week, in the 40's during the day, high 20's in the evening. There is some wet slushy snow on the ground, so something waterproof on your feet would be good. I would still wear a winter coat, as it can be very windy in the city and always seems colder to me. Or something like a lined raincoat with a sweater might work. I don't think you'll be warm enough in a corduroy coat. It's supposed to rain on Friday. I would also bring gloves, a warm scarf and a hat for night time. What do you have planned? Hope you have a wonderful time, Boston is a great city! I would skip the leather, I think you'll freeze. That's exactly what I needed to know! Windy, slushy wet 40's for a high. I'm bringing the winter coat.

The leather coat would be ok for right now as it's relatively warm (mid 50's) and sunny today but once the sun goes down it'll be cold again and you'll need your winter coat!

Our weather's been fluctuating between bitter cold last week, snow this past weekend and now warm. Kind of strange winter this year, more warmer days than usual. It looks like it'll be decent weather till Friday when windy, cold rain is predicted.

HAHA...true about today! Feels like spring! I just went out to lunch without a coat...feels great! But, like others have said, you should probably bring your winter coat if you're going to be walking around a lot outside, especially at night. Have a GREAT trip!
