Weather in August

We are going to DL in mid-August and I was wondering what kind of weather we can expect. Especially in terms of temperatures. I don't imagine we will need jackets but I have no idea if it will be as hot/humid as central Florida would at that time of year, etc.

It gets pretty hot in August, so dress for warm weather. It's not really humid, especially compared to Florida. A light jacket or sweater would be smart to have for the night, because it tends to get chilly at night, even on hot days.

We have been the first week of August the last two summers and the high temperatures never got above 85 degrees.

I've been to both Florida and California multiple times in August and I can assure you CA. is FAR more comfortable than FL at that time of year!!

Even if the temps are the same, it feels a lot more comfortable in CA. In Florida, you get that damp envelope of heat that just swallows you up, you know? It's not quite so oppressive in California. And I never see as many bugs either.

We have gone the last two years mid to late August and it is warm and a very dry heat. But it is cooler than home. We love that time of the year. The nights are comfortable, never had to wear an extra garment but if you chill you may want a heavy shirt or light sweater.
