Which weather forecast do you find is closer to what really happens? Weather.com and Accuweather.com vary widely in their forecasts.

:tongue: Neither. The only way to know what the weather will be is by stepping outside at that moment. That goes for most of Florida. Since moving here, I have learned to completely ignore weather forecasts, other than watching hurricanes.

I agree with FortForever. I've lived here 22 years and I find the big weather guys are not accurate at all. You really need to look at a local Orlando news site for weather detail. I live near Tampa and our weather guys are really good at weather predictions for the central FL area including Orlando.

None of them. And you can add all the local tv/radio forecasts to that list as well.

The best you can do is to take a look at a few and use that as an indication of the range of conditions you may encounter that day.

Since its a semi-tropical environment I would echo recommendations to not concern yourself with them at all.

Weather reports and crowd calendars are things I totally ignore!

We went to the beach a couple of weeks ago. Weather called for 80% to 100% thunderstorms all day every day we were there. We actually got one thunderstorm overnight one night. Another day, we had a 20 minute downpour with no storming. 100% doesn't really mean 100% here in Florida.

For "day of" weather, I have found the Dark Sky weather app to be fairly accurate.

Dark Sky has a great feature that gives you alerts of impending bad weather on your mobile phone. But even then its not always right.
