Hi all.

We usually take our spring dvc trip the first week of May. The weather is usually mid 80's during this time. We are going to move our trip to the end of March or 1st week of April for 2006. What kind of weather have you seen at Walt Disneyworld for an end of March or 1st week in April trip?

Thanks.

Some spring rain storms (but not quite as powerful as the summertime boomers) and very nice weather is usually on tap. I looked the other day for our trip the first week of April and saw that temps are 83 for an average. That sounds nice to me!

We usually take one pair of long pants, one sweat shirt (or light jacket) and go for it! I CAN still have dips in the temps in April, but mostly, you are in for warm days with lower humidity than the summer and great weather for being outside!

April is usually between 83-90 degrees. It can get warm and warm enough to go in the pools. Doesn't get very hot until May-June. Last time we went in April, we had no rain in 6 days!

We're going on April 13th and we are hoping for the same weather! :sunny:

We were there during this timeframe about 5 years ago. It was HOT for the end of March! I was a little surprised. High 80s...lots of sun. I'd pack for some rain though...and maybe a cool night or two.

I wouldn't hesitate to book that timeframe again.

Thanks you guys! That's the info I was looking for.

Some of our May trips it has even gotten in the 90's.

We usually go every year the first week of April and it is by far the best weather we can imagine. We usually get some rain one day and the other 6 are picture perfect especially at SAB. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :umbrella: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I was wondering, too. We arrive April 3rd. I was planning on all shorts and short sleeves, with only one pair of jeans and a light pullover for us all for good measure. It was warm enough for shorts when we went the first part of February this year! I always buy Lands End sandals for me and my girls (I guess I'll pack some socks, too in case it is chilly at night.) and I'll carry along the dreaded ponchos.

I do hope it is warm enough to swim. My oldest is really excited about the new slide at OKW.

Warm enough to swim? Dont even think twice-the pool will be 85 plus and is great even at night. The days are HOT especially in the sun.

DH and I did last week of March back in 1995! I remember it being very hot and sunny. I remember DH wore winter clothes and a heavy leather jacket on the plane and when we landed in Orlando he was sweating! Then he had to carry the bags and the 10 pound jacket onto the Mears shuttle with us! I wore summer clothing and sandals and he had made fun of me because I was freezing walking into Newark airport. Well, I got the last laugh. ;)
It didn't rain once the week we were there.

Shan, I love the Lands End sandals too! In fact, I love all their stuff for me and my kids. :)

Usually it is nice and warm in late March early April ,but we had bad luck last year. We went the week after Easter and there were three days of record low high temps-lol. The day we went to Epcot the wind chills were in the forties and all gift shops were sold out of adult sweatshirts. The highest temp we had was 68.

We usually go down the last week of March, and the weather is wonderful! Usually day time temps in the low 80's evenings, low 60's . Sunny almost all the time. Last year, the evenings were chilly, but we always pack a sweatshirt jacket, which we put to use! One night we sat on the beach at the Poly, eating our supper, waiting for Wishes to start, with our teeth chattering! (it's difficult to eat with chattering teeth!). But definitely warm enough to swim. Oh how I wish we were going down this year.

The 3rd week of March '04 had pretty chilly weather as far as I was concerned. We were in Orlando and VB, and then we went down to the Keys. That's when my spring break is, we're going on a Western Caribbean Cruise this year, I'll give Florida another chance next year. I'm glad some of you had nice March weather!
